Hello lovely bookworms! It’s time for another segment of Top Ten Tuesday!
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and has been moved to That Artsy Reader Girl since January 16, 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
This week’s topic is Books Taking Place in Another Country. I don’t know about you, but I ABSOLUTELY LOVE traveling. I’ve been to more than 10 countries and my favorite places so far are Amsterdam, Switzerland, and Peru, but I’ve been dreaming about going to Scotland, Greece, Italy, and Iceland for the longest time. I really wish I can travel more often cause there are so many beautiful countries I want to visit, but traveling in real life can get very expensive. That’s why I love reading books that take me to wonderful settings that are just beautiful! Today, I’ll be sharing some of my favorite books that transported me to magical and breathtaking places and a few I definitely want to check out soon.
BOOK PLACES VISITED
Doon Series by Lorie Langdon and Carey Corp -There some magic involved, but it does take place in Scotland
Love and Gelato by Jenna Evans Welch – Italy
Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins – Paris
Where I Found You by Heidi R. Kling – Indonesia
Bell of Eternity by Martina Boone – Cornwall, England
The Crown’s Game by Evelyn Skye – Russia
Lake of Destiny by Martina Boone – Scotland
The Ruby Red Trilogy by Kerstin Gier – London, England
BOOKS PLACES TO VISIT
Warcross by Marie Lu – Japan
Hunting Prince Dracula by Kerri Maniscalco – Romania
Which gorgeous places have you enjoyed visiting through books? Did any of these books make your list too? Share your post links in the comments so I can add more books that take place abroad on my reading list!

I LOVE contemporaries. I remember reading Love and Gelato and just swooning and awwing. It’s adorable and had me smiling the entire time. Can’t wait to read your review once you finished =).

Yes! I’ve not really been one for them more than just to break up the fantasies I gravitate more toward but this year has definitely been different! I’m really enjoying them and can’t wait to share my review! I also found out she’s a local so I’m hoping she’ll have an event here for Love & Luck!

Awesome!!! Maybe I’ll see you there.
Which author(s) are you most excited to see/meet? Mines Marissa Meyer since I’ve never meet her or gone to her signings. I have some other ones like Jenny Han, Marie Lu, and Tahereh Mafi.

The Ruby Trilogy is so good! Great choice. A lot of books here that I have read or want to read. I’ve been seeing Anna and the French Kiss everywhere. I’m moving that up on my TBR list!

Did you know there’s a movie for the Ruby Red Trilogy? It’s foreign but it looks really good. I’ve only watched the first one and enjoyed that a lot!
Anna and the French Kiss is a cute contemporary, but my favorite for that series is Lola and the Boy Next Door. =)

Yay! I hope you enjoy reading the series… And I totally get what you mean about book buying bans. I’ve been on one for a while…. It’s only a matter of time before I cave…BUT even if I’m not buying, I’m requesting on Netgalley and downloading free kindle books from bookbub sooo my TBR list keeps getting longer and longer. LOL

I totally get you. I’ve been telling myself that I wont request any more e-ARC’s because I need to catch up on my TBR list. Yup, doesn’t stop me! LOL. I just need to come to terms that I’ll have a huge TBR forever. I also have been putting a lot of books on hold through the Library. I brought home 11 books yesterday! haha!
