Hello lovelies! It feels like forever ago since I’ve done a Top Ten Tuesday post. Anyway, this week’s topic is Books to Read By the Pool/At the Beach so I’ll be listing 10 of my favorite summer/beach reads. If you’ve been following me for a while, then you probably know that I love swoony romances and contemporaries. While summer is not my favorite season (I love the cold weather), I definitely look forward to it all year for one reason — Summer makes me want to read lighthearted, fluffy, adorably cute contemporaries that always make me feel all kinds of happy and I absolutely love it.
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and has been moved to That Artsy Reader Girl since January 16, 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

I agree! For me, summer is aaaalllll bout the lighthearted! So many of my own summer favorites here! Love Jenny Han, Rachel Van Dyken and Emma Chase! And Rainbow — I love her ANY time of the year! You are clearly my book soul mate and now I want to go add all of these others to my summer TBR!

Awww thanks for that! Isn’t fluffy contemporaries just the best!?!?! I mean I can totally read them year round, but something about summer always just puts me in the mood for cute and light stories. Oh and I actually just discovered Rachel Van Dyken and Emma Chase a few months ago and I totally love their writing styles!

Agreed! OK, Have you read Van Dyken’s Consequence series?? They start with The Consequence of Loving Colton and are a perfect summer read: https://www.goodreads.com/search?q=consequence+van+dyken. I laughed so hard at these; the first one is begging to be made into a rom-com!

No I haven’t. I heard great things about it though. I’m finishing Infraction right now since I started with the Player Series. I’ll most definitely check that out and add it on my Summer TBR! Thanks hun! XOXO

I’m so not a fan of summer either! I also don’t like winter…haha. Anyway, I love fluffy contemporaries and have been trying to read as many as I can! I haven’t read any on your list, so clearly I need to add more to my TBR list!! 🙂

Yes – I love a good romance in the summer! I just read The Kiss Quotient and it was SO GOOD. Highly recommend that one!
