blurb

My d*ck never got me in half as much trouble as my heart…

We were high school sweethearts. I was head over heels for her and no one could tell me we weren’t going to last forever. College? Going pro? My family’s money? None of it mattered. She was all I needed.

Then she ripped my heart out. But I’m not going to let that happen again.

She’s back. Invading my life and acting like she was the wronged one. The pain is still there, but I can’t keep my eyes off her. I can’t stop thinking about her and how much was left unsaid between us. Being this close is making me question everything I thought I knew about her.

This time everything will be on my terms. Everything…

Maya Hughes completely won me over with her amazing writing style and the way she made me feel and care about the story and characters. This book ruthlessly had me in tears so many times, but it was also achingly beautiful. Ruthless King had it all – charming and lovable characters, endearing friendships, and delicious swoons. It was hilarious, entertaining, and romantic.

abouttheauthor

Maya Hughes can often be found sneaking in another chapter while hiding in the bathroom from her kids! 🙂 I’m a romance writer who loves taking inspiration from everyday life, namely my husband and biggest fan. Inspiration also strikes when I hear a song, meet someone new or daydream while at soccer practice.

I’m the mom of three little ones, the wife to an amazing husband and also work full time. Some of my favorite things are cinnamon rolls, white wine, laughing until I can’t breathe and traveling with my family.

mythoughtsDeliciously Fun, Charmingly Entertaining and Wonderfully Addictive

5hearts2

This book was such a charmingly entertaining read! Lighthearted and fluffy, Match Me If You Can by Tiana Smith had plenty of giggles, swoons, butterflies, fun drama and all the warm fuzzies that kept me flipping through the pages.

I love heartwarming YA rom-coms and this one most definitely did not disappoint. The writing was crisp and easy to read. The plot was incredibly fun, amusing, and engaging. Although a few things were quite predictable, there were some fun twists that completely surprised me. There was never a dull moment and I always wanted to know what would happen next. The characters were realistic and likable and even if they were a bit frustrating at times, you can’t help but fall in love with them anyway. The romance was sweet and swoony. I LOVEDDDD the tension and chemistry between Logan and Mia and thought their interactions were just the cutest. This truly was an enjoyable read  and it made me feel light and just so darn happy.

Before I wrap up my review, I just want to say thanks to Tiana for giving me a new book boyfriend to swoon over. I was instantly smitten with Logan and rooted for him so hard. He’s thoughtful, honest, artistic, considerate and cute. I loved his sense of humor and his sweet sensitive side. He totally gave me the feels. Not to mention his relationship with his sister was absolutely endearing.

Deliciously fun and wonderfully addictive, Match Me If You Can was an absolute delight to read and I savored every moment until the very last page. As a debut author, Tiana Smith proved that she knows how to bring on the FEELS and she did it amazingly. She created an adorably charming, funny, and sweet story that had me glued to the pages. I’ll definitely be keeping a lookout for Smith’s future novels and cannot wait to see what she comes out with next.

If you’re looking for a fluffy feel good YA contemporary story with lovable characters and sweet romance, then this book is the perfect match for you.

I received an advance reader copy of this book from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for a fair and honest review. All thoughts, swoons, giggles, and opinion are my own.

abouttheauthor

Tiana Smith is a copywriter turned novelist who grew up in the Wild West of Montana. When she isn’t writing, she’s chasing after her ninja boy, reading, or binging the Disney Channel. She’d love to be fluent in sign language, but for now she gets by with awkward hand gestures and even more awkward French. She has double degrees in Honors and English from Westminster College but wants to go back to school to be a lion tamer.
