Waiting on Wednesday – Traveler

waitingonwednesday

Hello my lovely book friends! It’s time for another Waiting on Wednesday which is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating. A similar meme, Can’t-Wait Wednesday, is hosted by Tressa over at Wishful Endings. If you’d like to participate in either one, don’t forget to link back to these lovely ladies and add your links in their posts.

Sally’s search for Earth isn’t off to a good start: chased out of her hotel room and into the broom closet of a spaceship, she’s accidentally become a stowaway on the Alliance Flagship, Traveler.

But when sabotage and murder show the crew’s true colors, Zander and Blayde are forced to stay and help them out of their mess. Lies, drama, and deceit lead them light years away to a mysterious planet on the edge of the galaxy, where the crew must band together just to stay alive. Which would be much easier if they didn’t have to deal with a diva first-mate, a droid with a religious obsession, and Blayde’s Ex whose brain is a spaceship.

Finding Earth has to be put on the back burner, as Sally’s stuck tending alien boo-boos – and she still has no idea what she’s doing. And she might live long enough to get off the planet in one piece.

I absolutely love the Starstruck series by S.E. Anderson. It’s unique, outrageously silly, positively entertaining, and an incredibly fun sci-fi adventure! It’s definitely one of my favorite series, so I’m super excited to for this book to come out already. I recently received my advance reader copy so I cannot wait go jump back into this amazingly and delightfully awesome series!

Waiting on Wednesday – Stay Sweet

waitingonwednesday

Hello lovelies!! Are you having a fantastic reading week? I sure hope so! As for me, well… it’s been ehh. These past two days were super busy and hectic, so I haven’t had the time to read. I’m really hoping that tonight I can read for 2 solid hours without too many distractions.

Now, it’s time again for another Waiting on Wednesday which is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating. A similar meme, Can’t-Wait Wednesday, is hosted by Tressa over at Wishful Endings. If you’d like to participate in either one, don’t forget to link back to these lovely ladies and add your links in their posts.

A summer read about first love, feminism, and ice cream.

Summer in Sand Lake isn’t complete without a trip to Meade Creamery—the local ice cream stand founded in 1944 by Molly Meade who started making ice cream to cheer up her lovesick girlfriends while all the boys were away at war. Since then, the stand has been owned and managed exclusively by local girls, who inevitably become the best of friends. Seventeen-year-old Amelia and her best friend Cate have worked at the stand every summer for the past three years, and Amelia is “Head Girl” at the stand this summer. When Molly passes away before Amelia even has her first day in charge, Amelia isn’t sure that the stand can go on. That is, until Molly’s grandnephew Grady arrives and asks Amelia to stay on to help continue the business…but Grady’s got some changes in mind…

I haven’t read any books by Siobhan Vivian, but I do have some of her books stuck on my TBR list. I’m so bad at keeping up with all the books I buy and plan to read. BUT… romance, ice cream, and feminisim — that sounds like an absolutely fun and awesome read! Definitely can’t wait to get my hands on this deliciously sweet and adorable book.
