Favorite Quotes Fridays

favequotesfridays

Hello Bookish friends! Time for another  Favorite Quotes Fridays, which is a weekly segment that features 2-3 of my favorite quotes from a book I’ve read and loved. For my pick this week, I’m choosing a book series that absolutely drove me crazy… but in a good way. I always say I have love/hate relationship with this series because I remember feeling so frustrated I wanted to throw a tantrum and scream, but at the same time I could not stop reading.

Tada!! The Selection Series by Kiera Cass made me FEEL SO MUCH and at the end of it all… I really enjoyed and had fun. Maxon… where do I even begin. He’s an absolute sweetheart and so swoon-worthy! (Featuring him for tomorrow’s Swoony Saturdates).

quotes

“America Singer, one day you will fall asleep in my arms every night. And you’ll wake up to my kisses every morning.”

“Break my heart. Break it a thousand times if you like. It was only ever yours to break anyway.”

“I want everything with you, America. I want the holidays and the birthdays, the busy season and lazy weekends. I want peanut butter fingertips on my desk. I want inside jokes and fights and everything. I want a life with you.”

“You are not the world, but you are everything that makes the world good. Without you, my life would still exist, but that’s all it would manage to do.”

“If you don’t want me to be in love with you, you’re going to have to stop looking so lovely. First thing tomorrow I’m having your maids sew some potato sacks together for you.”

“I’ll love you until my very last breath. Every beat of my heart is yours. I don’t want to die without you knowing that.”

Okay okay, I know I have more than 3 quotes here, but seriously… if these quotes doesn’t make you swoon, then I don’t know what will. I’m completely having some FEELS here just doing this…really missed how much this series made my emotions go crazy!  I think I need to reread this series again… and really soon.

Have you read this book? What did you think? Let me know in the comments!

Hope you enjoyed this week’s Favorite Quotes Fridays! Have a lovely weekend everyone!

The tide surged, carving a crescent in the sand. Water Collapsed against my knees, tearing the beach out from under my legs. But when the wave receded, the foam clung to something dark. Something long and still.

I saw his face, lashes tangled over blue lids, his lips parted against the sand. The breeze rippled off his clothes, ocean peeling from his face and dripping onto my hands. I was steeled there, not sure if he was real, until I saw his eves, a flash of his dark pupils.

synopsispic

Bryn Reyes is a real life sleeping beauty. Afflicted with Klein-Levin Syndrome, she suffers episodes of prolonged sleep that steal weeks, and sometimes even months, from her life. But unlike most KLS patients, she doesn’t spend each episode in a catatonic state or wake up with no recollection of the time she’s missed. Instead, Bryn spends half her life in an alternate reality made up of her memories. For Bryn, the past is a place, until one day a boy she’s never met before washes up on the illusory beach of her dreams with no memory of who he is.

But the appearance of this strange boy isn’t the only thing that’s changed. Bryn’s symptoms are worsening, her body weakening as she’s plagued by hallucinations even while awake. Her only hope of finding a cure is to undergo experimental treatment created by a German specialist. But when Dr. Banz reveals that he knows more about her strange symptoms than he originally let on, Bryn learns that the boy in her head might actually be the key to understanding what’s happening to her, and worse, that if she doesn’t find out his identity before it’s too late, they both may not survive.

Well… those first few lines definitely got me hooked! Did they get you too?

I really loved Pen and Xander and enjoyed Laekan Zea Kemp’s gorgeous storytelling, so I wanted to read something else by her. The premise for this book sounds super intriguing and fascinating. I’ve don’t know much about KLS, but I’ve seen a short documentary about it a few months ago. I was surprised to find out that a disease like this exists — it’s both interesting and incredibly terrifying.

Anyway, if you’re interested in adding this book to your TBR, then head over to Bookbub right now because it’s FREE for download.

What do you think so far? Are you going to add this book to your TBR or pass? Let me know in the comments below. I’d love to hear from you!
