Tackling My Netgalley TBR – April to Mid May 2018 Update

netgalleytbrupdate

Hello fellow booknerds! It’s time for another update! I know it’s the middle of the month and I’m way behind posting this, but I still wanted to share my progress. I need to see where I am and hopefully be motivated to pick up more of these ARCs rather than being distracted by all the other books I keep on requesting.  As you can clearly see, I haven’t made that much progress, BUTTTTT my FEEDBACK ratio is finally at 50% and I’ve finally reached 51 reviews submitted which means that I earned another badge — The 50 Reviews! So while I’m still pretty behind, I’m quite proud of myself.

I updated the list on 4.16.2018 cause I was getting a bit confused. I also took this out of the MISC category and moved it to Netgalley ARCs so I can keep track of my progress better and you can check out where I started. So, it looks like I added more on the list, but I’ve read more than 50 out of 100 plus books requested since I joined Netgalley. Making progress a little at a time. One of these days, I’ll get to that 85% feedback ratio. Until then, I’ll take it one day at a time and not force myself to read just so I can knock off as many of these ARCs before the end of the year. I obviously have a responsibility to read them since I requested, but I find it more enjoyable to read the books I’m actually in the mood for. And most of the times, I request when I’m really interested, but won’t get approved until a few weeks later so that kind of messes up my schedule when I’m already reading/reviewing something else.

Anyway, that pretty much ends my update. I’ll definitely do another one for the second half of May and hopefully I can check off 3-5 more books.

Oh and here’s my newest badge!!!
50 Book Reviews

Hope you enjoyed reading this update. Are you a Netgalley member? Do you also struggle with requesting and trying to catch up with your reading? Share your thoughts and experience in the comments below. I’d love to hear from you.

Thanks for stopping by and have a fantastic day!!!

Amazingly Addictive, Satisfyingly Sweet, and So Adorably Sexy

reviewthoughts

The first book I read from this author was a vampire paranormal romance story, Blood Type. That book completely took my breath away and left me craving for more. When I saw the opportunity to read and review this duet, I didn’t hesitate one bit and immediately signed up. I just knew that I would enjoy it as much as Blood Type… and I absolutely did!

This book was EVERYTHING I had hoped it would be and more….SO MUCH MORE. K.A. Linde is without a doubt one of my favorite new authors this year and I am so utterly in love with her gorgeous and captivating writing style. I just cannot get enough of all the FEELS in her stories and this one definitely did not disappoint.

The Wright Love is such an achingly beautiful story about grief, family, friendship, hope and love. It’s incredibly well-written and the plot is well-paced with the perfect blend of angst, drama, humor and heart. And this book absolutely has HEART… and A LOT of it.

I loved Sutton and David. They were strong solid characters – likeable, genuine, realistic and really relatable. Their chemistry together was fantastic and I really enjoyed getting to know them as individuals, seeing their relationship progress, and swooning after every spine tingling moment and kiss. They were super adorable and so real that I couldn’t help but fall completely and head over heels in love with their story.

The supporting characters were really great too and I absolutely adored them. They each had their own quirks and were extremely likable. I also really enjoyed the awesome friendships, family dynamics and the bantering between the siblings was so endearing. I love reading about family relationships and this family… most definitely stole piece of my heart. I cannot wait to pick up the other Wright books and get to know them all.

This book was a delightful and entertaining read from start to finish. The Wright Love made my heart ache and filled it with hope and love at the same time. It’s amazingly addictive, satisfyingly sweet, and so adorably sexy. I loved every moment and cannot wait to see how Sutton and David’s story end.

If you enjoy stories with phenomenal writing, fantastic characters, realistic scenarios, amazing FEELS, and heartbreaking plot twists, then I highly suggest you pick this book up rigth now.

I received an advance reader copy of this book from Inkslinger Blogger Program in exchange for a fair and honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
