TBR Thursdays

tbrthursday

Hello lovely readers and Happy Friday Eve!!

TBR Thursdays is a weekly segment that highlights books, ebooks, and ARCs that I own and have been in my TBR forever. At the end of the year, I’ll do a recap to see how many of these books I actually read.

For this TBR Thursday, I’m choosing…

For as long as Jack “June” O’Donnell has been alive, her parents have had only one rule: stay away from the Angert family. But when June collides—quite literally—with Saul Angert, sparks fly, and everything June has known is thrown into chaos.

Who exactly is this gruff, sarcastic, but seemingly harmless boy who has returned to their hometown of Five Fingers, Michigan, after three mysterious years away? And why has June—an O’Donnell to her core—never questioned her late father’s deep hatred of the Angert family? After all, the O’Donnells and the Angerts may have mythic legacies, but for all the tall tales they weave, both founding families are tight-lipped about what caused the century-old rift between them.

As Saul and June’s connection grows deeper, they find that the magic, ghosts, and coywolves of Five Fingers seem to be conspiring to reveal the truth about the harrowing curse that has plagued their bloodlines for generations. Now June must question everything she knows about her family and the father she adored, and she must decide whether it’s finally time for her—and all the O’Donnells before her—to let go.

First of all, isn’t that cover just gorgeous?!?! A Million Junes by Emily Henry is just one of the many books that’s been on my TBR in forever. I bought the ebook and somehow forgot about it. Guess that happens often when you buy more books than you can read. Definitely hoping I’ll get to this before the year ends.

Have you read A Million Junes? What did you think? Let me know in the comments below!

Waiting on Wednesday – Save the Date

waitingonwednesday

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating. A similar meme, Can’t-Wait Wednesday, is hosted by Tressa over at Wishful Endings. If you’d like to participate in either one, don’t forget to link back to these lovely ladies and add your links in their posts.

My pick for this week’s “can’t wait to read” is

Save the Date

Morgan Matson

synopsispic

Charlie Grant’s older sister is getting married this weekend at their family home, and Charlie can’t wait—for the first time in years, all four of her older siblings will be under one roof. Charlie is desperate for one last perfect weekend, before the house is sold and everything changes. The house will be filled with jokes and games and laughs again. Making decisions about things like what college to attend and reuniting with longstanding crush Jesse Foster—all that can wait. She wants to focus on making the weekend perfect.

The only problem? The weekend is shaping up to be an absolute disaster.

There’s the unexpected dog with a penchant for howling, house alarm that won’t stop going off, and a papergirl with a grudge.

There are the relatives who aren’t speaking, the (awful) girl her favorite brother brought home unannounced, and a missing tuxedo.

Not to mention the neighbor who seems to be bent on sabotage and a storm that is bent on drenching everything. The justice of the peace is missing. The band will only play covers. The guests are all crazy. And the wedding planner’s nephew is unexpectedly, distractingly…cute.

Over the course of three ridiculously chaotic days, Charlie will learn more than she ever expected about the family she thought she knew by heart. And she’ll realize that sometimes, trying to keep everything like it was in the past means missing out on the future.

I’ve heard so many amazing things about Morgan Matson’s books and I’ve even bought a few that I thought would be really fun and cute. Like most of the books I buy, they end up on my bookshelves and my neverending TBR. But this book… it’s totally screaming “READ ME! READ ME!”  The synopsis not only sounds adorable, hilarious, and swoontastic, but also incredibly heartwarming. Definitely saving the date for this book.

What’s your Waiting on Wednesday pick today? Share those books, so I can add more on my TBR!
