(The Trinity, #2)
Publication date: October 26th 2017
Genres: Adult, Romance, Suspense

No matter how hard she runs . . .

Gia Corey’s on a first-name-basis with danger. Nothing can protect her from the madman stalking her every move. Not her vital role in New York’s most powerful cartel, her money or her influence. She can’t run from the cops coming to arrest her for the deaths of six people. She can’t hide from the past that thrusts her into the path of a madman, sets her up for murder, and threatens those she loves.

Noah McLean’s carefree lifestyle as a playboy has come to a swift and violent end. Betrayal is the bullet that forces him to take his place in the family business. Gia’s his anchor, holding him together, helping him accept the role he’s been burdened with. He fell in lust with her beauty and helplessly in love with her heart, but when danger slithers close, he risks everything to keep her safe. But she only trusts two people and Noah isn’t one of them.

The past is never far behind . . .

The monster will stop at nothing to have Gia. He’ll wage a dangerous battle where murder, extortion, and terror are his instruments to tear her way from Noah and her friends. To win the war, Gia must do the unthinkable — embrace her own inner darkness.

Will she slay the monster, once and for all, or will her past break her in the end?

EXCERPT:

She lied, just a smidgen, to Carissa. She did plan to go see Noah but she couldn’t do it in her current state. She needed to get into the right mind set first. She needed to give herself a brain rinse and put what they’d just done in a circle outside her space. She needed a little distance so she could think. More than anything, she needed the peace and closeness to her grandmother that only this place could bring her.

Gia’s haven was painted in vibrant colors; shades of orange, mustard, browns, and reds everywhere. She tilted her head up and inhaled the Moroccan Tajine blends, the fresh turmeric and hibiscus cus. Her grandmother’s panacea, lemongrass, perfumed its healing softness into the air, welcoming her.

Camouflaged by the old, gray-brick facade, her favorite place was a gymnasium-sized room where all scents known to man communed together. Whatever you may have wanted, no matter how obscure, you could find at La Marketa. Even if it was a small shrub that only grew in the farthest corner of Antarctica or as Mel’s mom used to say, “Where the devil shouted three times and no one heard him.”

Here, she forgot what she did for a living, remembered her roots, and indulged in her favorite past-time.

From the Author
Made, the second book in my Trinity Series, comes out today. The Trinity is New York’s top cartel and is run by three women who had to rise, fight, and play the cards life dealt them. Boss, book one of the series follows the rise of Carissa and The Trinity and her love affair with Alec McLean.
With Made, I’m excited for you to read Gia and Noah’s story. They had a small part in Boss but now you get a front row seat to their journey.
Gia is everyone’s ray of sunshine but sometimes beautiful smiles are there to cover bone deep scars. She’s a dreamer without hope, living a life that chose her, and running from a past that’s never far behind.
Noah was born into organized crime and embraces all its aspects, the money, the danger, and the women he falls for on Saturday and can’t remember on Monday. He’s not the face of the McLean family but he embodies it. Then betrayal came where he least expected and sent him reeling. But he found a ray in that dark place that lit his way and brought him back, Gia.
Gia and Noah’s story is one of love and lust, heartbreak and loss, trust and taking your rightful place. It’s a story of the ghosts that haunts us and the courage to stand up for yourself and those you love.
Gia wasn’t very vocal in book one, but that doesn’t diminish her role in The Trinity.  Each member of the Trinity has an equally important role in the organization. That is why the series symbol is The Trinity Knot. No matter which way you flip it, it doesn’t change its shape or strength. It’s equally powerful from all angles and their main asset is their unity.
In their stories loyalty and friendship will always be front and center along with the men that consume their hearts.

Happy Book Birthday, Jenny!

David and Charlotte paid their dues. They traveled to another realm, battled the Dragon King, recovered the all important magic key to the mage tunnels, and found the heir to the throne of Hirth, as promised. Now it’s time to go home. There’s just one problem: the powerful crystals needed to activate the tunnels have been stolen…and David’s parents have mysteriously disappeared along with them. Guess who’s not going home to Havendale anytime soon.

Eric Hamden, squire extraordinaire, survived the poisonous knick of a shadowmorth’s blade, rescued the king of Hirth from the bowels of the dragon’s lair, and confronted a heartbreaking betrayal that nearly got him killed. Still reeling from the news, Eric sets his sights on a daring rescue only to wind up in a prison of his own with David and Charlotte at his side. But rescues come in strange ways, and before they know it, the three end up in David’s hometown of Havendale…and Eric gets a quick schooling in Modern Life 101. He’d rather fight a dragon.

With secrets, lies and betrayals meeting them at every turn, David, Charlotte and Eric soon discover that Havendale isn’t the sanctuary they’d hoped for. Even their best-laid plans can’t prepare them for the danger that stalks them. This time, no amount of magic or prayers can save them. War has been declared, and in the final battle, someone must make the ultimate sacrifice. Let the battle begin.

J. (Jenny) Keller Ford is a scribbler of speculative fiction and YA tales. As an Army brat, she traveled the world and wandered the halls of some of Germany’s most extraordinary castles in hopes of finding snarky dragons, chivalrous knights, and wondrous magic to permeate her imagination. What she found remains etched in her topsy-turvy mind and oozes out in sweeping tales of courage, sacrifice, honor and everlasting love.

When not torturing her keyboard or trying to silence the voices in her head, Jenny spends time collecting seashells, bowling, screaming on roller coasters and traveling. She is a mom to four magnificent and noble offspring and currently lives in paradise on the west coast of Florida with a menagerie of royal pets, and her own quirky knight who was brave enough to marry her.

Published works include The Passing of Millie Hudson, a paranormal short story that can be found in READING GLASSES. IN THE SHADOW OF THE DRAGON KING is her debut novel and the first installment in the Chronicles of Fallhollow Trilogy. Book 2 in the series is slated for Fall 2016.
