February Wrap-Up

wrapup

Hello beautiful book lovers! I hope you all had a wonderful reading month. As for me, I still didn’t get to read as much as I wanted and I’m now 4 books behind my Goodreads challenge. BUT, I really enjoyed all the books I read and that’s what really matters to me. I actually did a little better in February than I did last month and managed to finish reading 8 books. I know I have a long way to go and I really need to work on my Netgalley feedback ratio, but I have a good feeling about March. Anyway, how about we take a look at all the books I read this month.

Collide by Nicole Sobon

3.75 – 4 ★ – SHORT AND SWOONY

collide

Collide by Nicole Sobon is a short, but heartwarming and swoony friends to lovers story. A delightful guilty pleasure read perfect for romance lovers.

Breaking the Ice by Julie Cross

4.5 ★ – Hilarious, Adorable and Swoony

breakingtheice

I really enjoyed Breaking the Ice! It’s the first book I read from Julie Cross and I’m definitely excited to check out her other books. This one was hilarious, sweet, and so adorable! My review for this book should be posted in a few days.

Blood Type by K.A. Linde

5 ★ – Dangerously Fun, Pleasantly Tantalizing, and So Deliciously Sexy

bloodtype

I absolutely loved this book! So glad I opened the email from Netgalley during Valentine’s Day Week. Damn you Netgalley… I’m trying to stay away, but you keep luring me back. I really didn’t want to request anymore books and I was doing pretty well…. BUT, that cover was too tempting and I could not resist. (After that day, I just went downhill and requested for all these other books on Netgalley and download a lot of free books from Bookbub…I seriously have a book addiction problem LOL). Anyway, as I was saying, I really LOVED everything about Blood Type! I was extremely enamored by the world building and storyline that I found it almost impossible to put the book down. It’s dark, mysterious, and quite terrifying at times, but incredibly fascinating. It’s so damn good and that insane cliffhanger will have you craving for another bite!  My review will be posted closer to the release date. If you’re a Netgalley member and fans for vampire books, then I highly suggest you request this now!

Mercury Rises by Scarlett Kol

4.5 ★ – THRILLING AND SO MUCH FUN

37540341

Mercury Rises by Scarlett Kol is a fantastic retelling of Robin Hood that had me undeniably enthralled the entire time. This story totally made my emotions go haywire and I LOVED IT! Not to mention, there were some nice twist and turns that kept me on my toes.

Sweet Dreams by Marika Ray

4 ★ – Sweet, Adorable and Deliciously Swoony

This book pleasantly surprised me and had my heart melting from the start. With delicious chemistry, hilarious bantering, steamy sexy scenes, and heartwarming friendships, Sweet Dreams by Marika Ray is a delightfully fun debut novel.

Coral and Bone by Tiffany Duane

4 ★ –   POSITIVELY MESMERIZING AND ENTERTAINING

coralandbone

I’m really impressed with Tiffany Duane’s gorgeous and enthralling novel. Coral and Bone had fun surprises, heartbreaking moments and mind-blowing twists and turns that had me completely glued to the pages. If you’re looking for a fast-paced, engaging, and creative YA fantasy story, then definitely add this on your TBR. I’m actually reading the last book, Smoke and Ruin, right now and I just know I’m going to be really sad when it’s all over. I love being in Duane’s magical world and will miss everyone. Don’t forget to check out my Blog Tour stop and review tomorrow for the second book, Curses and Ash.

Curses and Ash by Tiffany Duane

5 ★ –   EXCEPTIONALLY DAZZLING FROM START TO FINISH

cursesandash

Curses and Ash is an amazing sequel! It’s even more thrilling, suspenseful and captivating than Coral and Bone. And my heart… shattered multiple times throughout the book. I love this world and the characters and everything about this dazzling series!

How did you do with your February TBR? Have you read any of these books? Let me know in the comments down below!

The People of Ell Aye

Mayfly is set in the land of Ell Aye, a once-mighty city now
in ruins. The old divisions of the past are gone, and in their place new
peoples have emerged, each with their own origins and unique cultures.
The Angelenos
The dominant people of Ell Aye, they are a largely peaceful
female-led society who live primarily in the hills. They are made of four
interrelated peoples:
The Holy Wood
The oldest Angeleno settlement, on the shores of the Lake of
the Holy Wood and the old Holy Wood sign.
The Malibu
The farthest west of the Angelenos, who live in the
mountains next to the ocean of Malibu.
The Downtown
The Downtown guard the former towers of Ell Aye as sacred
ground and live in a giant stadium in a ravine.
The San Fernandos
The San Fernandos live in the great valley north of the Holy
Wood and frequently compete with the Holy Wood for scarce resources.
The Last Lifers
A feral band of Children who’ve gone mad in anticipation of
their early deaths; they live throughout Ell Aye in violence and chaos because
they fear no consequences.
The Palos (The Biters)
A cannibal society from the smoking Palos Verdes peninsula,
they are Ell Aye’s most feared enemy. They are intelligent, vicious, and well
armed.
The Ice Cream Men
A wandering tribe of traders who travel on three-wheeled ice
cream carts, the Ice Cream Men know all the peoples in Ell Aye.
The Kingdom
A mighty civilization built by former gang members, the
Kingdom occupies a huge castle fortress in Orange County, the OC.
