EXCERPT:

Dark thoughts loom in the back of my mind as I hover over this mortal. As much as she intrigues me, my frustration with her for trussing me to this self-imposed protection detail is festering. I’m programmed to despise human and divine life, not bind myself to it.

“I’m the prince of darkness, sweetheart, not a bodyguard,” I whisper into the night, and brush the hair away from her face, wanting to feel her soft skin against my fingers.

I’d allowed my temper and frustration with the archangel to get the best of me, tethering myself to this oracle. A mortal with a divine soul. One my father wants to use for his own selfish revenge. The dull irony is that I’ve vowed to safeguard her from the one thing I will never be able to protect her from—my own birthright.

I move away from her, even though it’s the last thing I want to do, and take a seat in the chair facing her bed. I should have made her leave last night, but it doesn’t matter now. I couldn’t stay away from her any longer. Vassago wouldn’t allow it.

She is my mission.
She has chosen her fate.
And I’m bound to save her from the one thing I can’t protect her from—my dark soul.

Book Spotlight- The Way You Make Me Feel

I Believe in a Thing Called Love is one of my favorite YA contemporary romance reads this year. It’s such a funny and cutesy “first love” story. I absolutely adore the plot and the characters are quirky and so lovable. So of course I planned on checking out whatever Maurene Goo’s next book would be. Spring 2018 is still a long way, but I’m so incredibly excited for The Way You Make Me Feel. Oh and that cover is just gorgeous!!

The Way You Make Me Feel comes out May 8,2018.  Mark those calendars lovelies or preorder your copy now!

Here’s a short blurb from Goo’s websiteThe Way You Make Me Feel, is about Clara Shin, a prankster who is sentenced to work on her father’s food truck, The KoBra, after one of her jokes goes too far. There, she has to contend with her uptight classmate, Rose, and the boy named Hamlet (yes, Hamlet!), who is totally crushing on her. It’s NOT the carefree summer Clara had in mind . . . and what if taking this summer seriously means she has to leave her old self behind? Clara’s story is ultimately about falling in love and finding yourself in the places you’d never thought to look.

Sounds super fun and adorable right?!?!

P.S. I’ve met Maurene Goo twice now and she’s so sweet and nice. She’s definitely one of my favorites and I’m so looking forward to reading The Way You Make Me Feel.

Preorder on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Indiebound

Hope you enjoyed this post and check out Maurene Goo’s amazing books!
