WWW Wednesdays

Hello lovelies! Time for another WWW Wednesdays which is a weekly meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words.

Just answer these three questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

I recently finished reading No Plain Rebel by M.C. Frank. I absolutely love this series. I’m currently reading the third and final book and totally taking my time. I didn’t get to read that much over the weekend, but I did spend some quality time with my boyfriend. We binged Season 3 of Gotham and finally finished it Sunday night.

I usually just read 2-3 books at the same time, but I must be feeling super motivated! Currently reading  No Vain Loss by M.C. Frank (really trying to enjoy this one because I’m not ready for the series to come to an end), Odd and True by Cat Winters, The Wishing Heart by J.C. Welker and My Sophomore Year of Rules (School Dayz #4) by Jennifer DiGiovanni. So far I’m enjoying all these books and hoping to finish at least 2 by Friday.

I don’t even know what I want to read next. There are just way too many to finish for reviews, but I’ll just go with these three. Berserker by Emmy Laybourne, All the Wind in the World by Samantha Mabry, and Dirty Little Promise (Forbidden Desires #2) by Kendall Ryan.

So what are your WWW Wednesday? Have you read any of these? Leave a comment down below.

Sincerely Karen Jo

First Lines Fridays

FIRST LINES FRIDAYS IS A WEEKLY FEATURE FOR BOOK LOVERS HOSTED BY WANDERING WORDS. WHAT IF INSTEAD OF JUDGING A BOOK BY ITS COVER, ITS AUTHOR OR ITS PRESTIGE, WE JUDGED IT BY ITS OPENING LINES?
  • PICK A BOOK OFF YOUR SHELF (IT COULD BE YOUR CURRENT READ OR ON YOUR TBR) AND OPEN TO THE FIRST PAGE
  • COPY THE FIRST FEW LINES, BUT DON’T GIVE ANYTHING ELSE ABOUT THE BOOK AWAY JUST YET – YOU NEED TO HOOK THE READER FIRST
  • FINALLY… REVEAL THE BOOK!
COPY AND PASTE THE TEXT AND BANNER (OR MAKE YOUR OWN!) ABOVE FOR YOUR OWN FIRST LINES FRIDAYS POSTS.  MAKE SURE TO COMMENT YOUR FIRST LINES BELOW SO THAT OTHER PEOPLE CAN CHECK THEM OUT!

Okay here goes!

A guard steps in front of him, snatching him from his thoughts. Felix looks up and stifles a cry. The guard is looking down at him, his face filling Felix’s vision. There’s something familiar about the guard’s face, and it feels to Felix that the floor tilts beneath his boots, because that face… That man…

No Vain Loss (No Ordinary Star #3)

M.C. Frank

Expected Publication December 5, 2017

A soldier is summoned to the North Pole, days before the year changes, told to fix the great Clock for a celebration. He has no idea what to do.
A girl, hunted for the crime of being born, almost dies out on the ice. She is rescued by the last polar bear left alive.
A library waits for them both, a library built over a span of a hundred years, forgotten in the basement of an ice shack.
The world hasn’t known hunger or sickness in hundreds of years. It has also forgotten love and beauty.
This is the One World.
The year is 2524.
Inspired by the short stories of Ray Bradbury, this futuristic young adult novel in three parts is set in a world where Christmas -among other things- is obsolete and a Clock is what keeps the fragile balance of peace.
Written in three parts, this is the breathtaking story of how two unlikely people change the world, and each other, one book at a time.
In No Vain Loss, the world is on the brink of the greatest war humanity has ever known. Lives will be lost. New truths will be revealed.

This series is so amazing!!! I am absolutely head over heels in love and the damn FEELS are just too much. I don’t want it to end ever!!!
