Favorite Quotes Fridays

favequotesfridays

Hello Wonderful Bookish friends and Happy Friday!!! Sadly, not so much for me. I took a vacation day today to do some personal stuff and obviously read… Well, personal errands has been put on hold until Sunday. I was already feeling under the weather a few days ago, but have been trying to fight it. Unfortunately, I woke up today with a massive headache and have been coughing nonstop my chest hurts. It’s also really cold and raining here in LA. I’m pretty much in bed, under the blankets, and doped up with cold/flu meds. I’m just trying to finish this really quick since I already had most of it drafted.

So without further ado, let’s take a look at another Favorite Quotes Fridays, which is a weekly segment that features 2-3 of my favorite quotes from a book I’ve read and loved. For my pick this week, I’m choosing one of my favorite YA Contemporary book series which is super adorable, swoony and cutesy!

I absolutely love this series! Lara Jean and Peter are the swooniest and totally gave me all the FEELS. For this feature, I’m going to focus on my favorite quotes from this book only because I enjoyed it more than To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before and I haven’t read Always and Forever Lara Jean. (But, I do have the book — Actually, I have two copies LOL). I really loved the way the story ended here and I’m not emotionally prepared for a new ending. My heart won’t be able to take it if Lara Jean and Peter don’t end up together… sooo please don’t spoil anything for me. I’m planning on binging the entire series sometime this year.

quotes

I can see now it’s the little things, the small efforts that keep a relationship going. And now I know too that in some small measure I have the power to hurt him and also the power to make it better.

Let’s do it fucking for real, Lara Jean. Let’s go all in. No more contract. No more safety net. You can break my heart. Do whatever you want with it.

So much of love is chance. There’s something scary and wonderful about that.

I know now that I don’t want to love or be loved in half measures. I want it all and to have it all, you have to risk it all.

So swoony and romantic right?!? The last few pages of this book had my heart melting and I remember crying a bit. I’m such a sucker for lovey dovey stories. Forever shipping Lara Jean and Peter because they are too darn cute!!!

Have you read this book? What did you think? What are some of your favorite romance books? Let me know in the comments so I can add them on my TBR.

I hope you all have the loveliest weekend!!

Waiting on Wednesday – Rebel Heir

waitingonwednesday

Hello my wonderful bookish friends! Time for another Waiting on Wednesday.

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating. A similar meme, Can’t-Wait Wednesday, is hosted by Tressa over at Wishful Endings. If you’d like to participate in either one, don’t forget to link back to these lovely ladies and add your links in their posts.

My pick for this week’s “can’t wait to read” is

How to kick off a great summer in the Hamptons:

Snag a gorgeous rental on the beach. Check.

Get a job at a trendy summer haunt. Check.

How to screw up a great summer in the Hamptons:

Fall for the one guy with a dark leather jacket, scruff on his face, and intense eyes that doesn’t fit in with the rest of the tony looking crowd. A guy you can’t have when you’ll be leaving at the end of the season.

Check. Check. Check.

I should add—especially when the guy is your sexy, tattooed God of a boss.

Especially when he not only owns your place of employment but inherited half of the town.

Especially when he’s mean to you.

Or so I thought.

Until one night when he demanded I get in his car so he could drive me home because he didn’t want me walking in the dark.

That was sort of how it all started with Rush.

And then little by little, some of the walls of this hardass man started to come down.

I never expected that the two of us, seemingly opposites from the outside, would grow so close.

I wasn’t supposed to fall for the rebel heir, especially when he made it clear he didn’t want to cross the line with me.

As the temperature turned cooler, the nights became hotter. My summer became a lot more interesting—and complicated.

All good things must come to an end, right?

Except our ending was one I didn’t see coming.

Rebel Heir is the first book in the Rush Series Duet. Book Two, Rebel Heart, will release six weeks later on May, 22, 2018.
