WWW Wednesdays

wwwwednesday

I’ve been so incredibly busy since there’s less than two weeks left before my mom’s 60th, so I was only able to finish one book… BUT, it was ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!!

WWW Wednesday which is a weekly segment hosted by Taking on a World of Words.

Just answer these three questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

So the only book I managed to finish was Fighting Fate by Shaila Patel, which is the second book in the Joining of the Souls series and I am extremely in LOVEEEEE!!! My review and a really fun author interview with Shaila with go live sometime tomorrow. In the meantime, if you want to check out my review for the first book, Soulmated, CLICK HERE.

I am currently not reading anything right now since I’m working on my mom’s slide show for her birthday and a few other things. I will be reading Ace of Shades by Amanda Foody as soon as a get a little breather and over the weekend cause I’m actually part of a blog tour for that book.

As for what I’m planning on reading after Ace of Shades, I still have Traveler by S.E. Anderson and Defy the Stars by Claudia Gray on the list.

Well, that’s it for my WWW Wednesday… I’m hoping I’ll do better next week since I should be pretty much done with all the prepping.

What was on your WWW Wednesday? Have you read any of these books? Leave your comments and links to your post so I can check it out!

Hello fellow bookaholics! It’s time for another Waiting on Wednesday which is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating. A similar meme, Can’t-Wait Wednesday, is hosted by Tressa over at Wishful Endings. If you’d like to participate in either one, don’t forget to link back to these lovely ladies and add your links in their posts.

My pick for this week’s “can’t wait to read” is

From the author of I Believe in a Thing Called Love, a laugh-out-loud story of love, new friendships, and one unique food truck.

Clara Shin lives for pranks and disruption. When she takes one joke too far, her dad sentences her to a summer working on his food truck, the KoBra, alongside her uptight classmate Rose Carver. Not the carefree summer Clara had imagined. But maybe Rose isn’t so bad. Maybe the boy named Hamlet (yes, Hamlet) crushing on her is pretty cute. Maybe Clara actually feels invested in her dad’s business. What if taking this summer seriously means that Clara has to leave her old self behind?

With Maurene Goo’s signature warmth and humor, The Way You Make Me Feel is a relatable story of falling in love and finding yourself in the places you’d never thought to look.

I really enjoyed reading I Believe in a Thing Called Love and absolutely adored the quirky and lovable characters. It was cute, swoony and positively heartwarming. I also had the chance to meet Maurene Goo at Yallwest and Pasadena Loves YA last year and she is such a sweet and nice person. I was definitely fangirling when she remembered me. Here’s a pic of us at Pasadena Loves YA.
