TBR Thursdays

tbrthursday

Hi loves! Time for another TBR Thursdays!

TBR Thursdays is a weekly segment that highlights books, ebooks, and ARCs that I own and have been in my TBR forever. At the end of the year, I’ll do a recap to see how many of these books I actually read.

For this TBR Thursday, I’m choosing…

Twins Carys and Andreus were never destined to rule Eden. With their older brother next in line to inherit the throne, the future of the kingdom was secure.

But appearances—and rivals—can be deceiving. When Eden’s king and crown prince are killed by assassins, Eden desperately needs a monarch, but the line of succession is no longer clear. With a ruling council scheming to gain power, Carys and Andreus are faced with only one option—to take part in a Trial of Succession that will determine which one of them is worthy of ruling the kingdom.

As sister and brother, Carys and Andreus have always kept each other safe—from their secrets, from the court, and from the monsters lurking in the mountains beyond the kingdom’s wall. But the Trial of Succession will test the bonds of trust and family.

With their country and their hearts divided, Carys and Andreus will discover exactly what each will do to win the crown. How long before suspicion takes hold and the thirst for power leads to the ultimate betrayal.

I remember seeing the cover for this and reading the premise and thinking “Whoa…this book sounds so awesome and exciting!” I bought the ebook a few weeks after it was released, but around spring and summer I tend to read YA contemporaries. I put this aside for fall/winter, but as you can tell, I still haven’t gotten to it. Have you read Dividing Eden? What did you think? Let me know in the comments below if I should bump this up on my list.

What are some books on your TBR that you decided to put aside to read later on, but ended up forgetting about it?

As always, thanks for stopping by and have a lovely day!

WWW Wednesdays

wwwwednesday

Hi loves!!! After skipping last week, I’m back and on time with my WWW Wednesday. I had a slow start in February dealing with stress from work, but the last few days has been better. I’m still really worn out and haven’t been getting as much reading as I’d like, but some progress is definitely better than nothing…

WWW Wednesday which is a weekly segment hosted by Taking on a World of Words.

Just answer these three questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

I finally finished reading Pen and Xander by Laekan Zea Kemp and I absolutely loved it! It took me so long to read because I was dealing with so much stress at work and other personal issues that I couldn’t really get in the mood. I didn’t really want to give up on it or set it aside cause the story was very interesting and I adored all the characters. I decided to just take it slow and read it whenever I’m feeling a little light and relaxed. It’s been days since I finished and I can honestly say that Pen and Xander is one of the best books I’ve read so far this year. It’s beautifully written, so relatable, and incredibly affecting. I should have my review up in a few days or sometime next week. I also finished reading Collide by Nicole Sobon which was really short, but fun and swoony. My review will be up tomorrow during my blog tour stop. The last book I finished reading was Breaking the Ice by Julie Cross which complete stole me heart. That book is hilarious, charming, and pretty steamy… Cannot wait to share my review!

I wanted something steamy and sexy to read for Valentine’s so I’m currently reading Bad Business by Nicole Edwards. It’s definitely steamy, but I really liked that it’s funny too. So far the characters are really likable.

Next, I plan on reading Mercury Rises by Scarlet Kol and Coral and Bone by Tiffany Duane for my upcoming blog tour stops.
