Waiting on Wednesday – Blood Match

waitingonwednesdaynew

Hello my wonderful bookaholics! It’s time for another Waiting on Wednesday which is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating. A similar meme, Can’t-Wait Wednesday, is hosted by Tressa over at Wishful Endings. If you’d like to participate in either one, don’t forget to link back to these lovely ladies and add your links in their posts.

My pick for this week’s “can’t wait to read” is

bloodtype

As the provocative, sensual Blood Type series continues, the rare bond between Reyna and Beckham is threatened by betrayal, greed, and twisted secrets.
A desperate human. A powerful vampire. A world divided.
Reyna Carpenter was promised paradise. She was delivered into hell.
Giving up her body for money was supposed to be the hardest part of becoming a blood escort. She never expected to lose her heart to her dark, enigmatic boss, Beckham Anderson. After being taken by a depraved captor who plans to rule the world, Reyna will do anything to return to Beckham.
She just has to find the will to survive this game.
From the pawn, rises a queen.
Note: Reyna and Beckham’s story begins in Blood Type and continues in Blood Cure.

I loved Blood Type! I’ve never read anything by this author, but I can honestly say that I will be checking out her other books. Blood Type was dangerously fun, pleasantly tantalizing, and so deliciously sexy. I was extremely enamored by the world building and storyline that I found it almost impossible to put the book down. It’s dark, mysterious, and quite terrifying at times, but incredibly fascinating. The ending had a really crazy cliffhanger that left me speechless and so anxious for Blood Match!!

WWW Wednesday (I know it’s Thursday but…)

wwwwednesday

Hello my wonderful bookish friends!! I hope you’re all having a fantastic week and reading some amazing books. I know it’s Thursday and I wasn’t really planning on doing this post since I’ve been so super duper busy. I’m actualy running on 4-5 hours sleep and I’m about to crash soon, really soon. BUT, I did manage to get some reading done here and there amidst all the chaos that is my life right now and I wanted to do a quick reading recap. Sooo let’s get to it!

WWW Wednesday which is a weekly segment hosted by Taking on a World of Words.

Just answer these three questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

I recently finished reading Ace of Shades by Amanda Foody which I enjoyed and Sinister Love by T.L. Smith — this book was intoxicating and I loved it! I wasn’t even planning on reading Sinister Love, but I got the ARC in the email and I just had to know how Ryken and Saskia’s story would end. You can read my review for Ace of Shades here and review for Sinister Love will be posted soon.

I’m currently reading Rebel Heir by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward and Blood Veil by Megan Erickson. I know these two books weren’t in my post last week, but with the kind of hectic and crazy days I’ve been having, I needed quick easy guilty pleasure reads that can relax me and not overwork my brain. These two are perfect and I’ve been enjoying them during my lunch breaks and when I need to take a short breather from party planning.

Since I didn’t read what I had planned from last week, I’m keeping those two on the list for now…  Traveler by S.E. Anderson and Defy the Stars by Claudia Gray. I’ll probably change my mind again or add another book… we’ll see.

So, that’s it for my WWW Wednesday…Hoping to be back on my regular reading and blogging schedule by next week. Have a wonderful day loves!!!

What was on your WWW Wednesday? Have you read any of these books? Leave your comments and links to your post so I can check it out!
