IN THE BLUE, THE WORLD’S LAST CITY, ALL IS NOT WELL.

JULIA IS STUCK WITHIN ITS WALLS. SHE SERVES THE NOBILITY FROM A DISTANCE UNTIL SHE MEETS LUCAS, A BOY WHO BELIEVES IN FAIRYTALES THAT JULIA’S WORLD CAN’T ACCOMMODATE. THE BLUE IS HER PRISON, NOT HER CASTLE, AND SHE’D ESCAPE INTO THE TREES IF SHE DIDN’T KNOW THAT CONTAMINATION AND DEATH AWAITED HUMANITY OUTSIDE.

BUT NOT EVERYONE IN THE BLUE IS HUMAN, AND NOT EVERYONE CAN BE CONTAINED.

BEYOND THE CITY’S BOUNDARIES, IN THE WILD FORESTS OF THE RED, CAMERON HAS PRECIOUS LITTLE HUMANITY LEFT TO LOSE. AS HE SEARCHES FOR A LOST QUEEN, HE FINDS AN ENEMY RISING THAT HE THOUGHT LONG DEAD. AN ENEMY THAT THE HUMANS HAVE FORGOTTEN HOW TO FIGHT.

ONE WAY OR ANOTHER, THE WALLS OF THE BLUE ARE COMING DOWN. THE ONLY QUESTION IS WHAT SIDE YOU’LL BE ON WHEN THEY DO.

readmyreview

If you enjoy stories that have twists and turns that bite, action and drama that satisfy, lies and betrayals that sting, and complex but fascinating characters that will steal your hearts, then this is the book for you. Oh and be prepared for one crazy ending. The betrayal in the end was totally unexpected. Never saw that one coming. Not even a little bit.

silverqueenThe last city on Earth is contaminated. Now blood is the only thing that can wash it clean.

Julia is trapped inside the Blue as the Nobles fight over the few humans who are still alive. When the dust settles and she finds herself shackled to a new master, she knows she must escape or die.

Meanwhile, Cam has gathered a handful of comrades and is on his way into the Red to rescue his queen. But not all of his friends can be trusted, and not all of them will make it back alive.

The Silver Queen is the second book in Josie Jaffrey’s Sovereign trilogy, set in a dystopian Europe where vampiric Nobles control the last remnants of the human race.

mythoughtsDeliciously Fun, Charmingly Entertaining and Wonderfully Addictive

5hearts2

This book was such a charmingly entertaining read! Lighthearted and fluffy, Match Me If You Can by Tiana Smith had plenty of giggles, swoons, butterflies, fun drama and all the warm fuzzies that kept me flipping through the pages.

I love heartwarming YA rom-coms and this one most definitely did not disappoint. The writing was crisp and easy to read. The plot was incredibly fun, amusing, and engaging. Although a few things were quite predictable, there were some fun twists that completely surprised me. There was never a dull moment and I always wanted to know what would happen next. The characters were realistic and likable and even if they were a bit frustrating at times, you can’t help but fall in love with them anyway. The romance was sweet and swoony. I LOVEDDDD the tension and chemistry between Logan and Mia and thought their interactions were just the cutest. This truly was an enjoyable read  and it made me feel light and just so darn happy.

Before I wrap up my review, I just want to say thanks to Tiana for giving me a new book boyfriend to swoon over. I was instantly smitten with Logan and rooted for him so hard. He’s thoughtful, honest, artistic, considerate and cute. I loved his sense of humor and his sweet sensitive side. He totally gave me the feels. Not to mention his relationship with his sister was absolutely endearing.

Deliciously fun and wonderfully addictive, Match Me If You Can was an absolute delight to read and I savored every moment until the very last page. As a debut author, Tiana Smith proved that she knows how to bring on the FEELS and she did it amazingly. She created an adorably charming, funny, and sweet story that had me glued to the pages. I’ll definitely be keeping a lookout for Smith’s future novels and cannot wait to see what she comes out with next.

If you’re looking for a fluffy feel good YA contemporary story with lovable characters and sweet romance, then this book is the perfect match for you.

I received an advance reader copy of this book from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for a fair and honest review. All thoughts, swoons, giggles, and opinion are my own.

Tiana Smith is a copywriter turned novelist who grew up in the Wild West of Montana. When she isn’t writing, she’s chasing after her ninja boy, reading, or binging the Disney Channel. She’d love to be fluent in sign language, but for now she gets by with awkward hand gestures and even more awkward French. She has double degrees in Honors and English from Westminster College but wants to go back to school to be a lion tamer.
