WWW Wednesdays

Time for another WWW Wednesdays which is a weekly meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words.

Just answer these three questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

I recently finished reading Haven by Mary Lindsey. You can check out my review here. I also finished reading Busted by Gina Ciocca yesterday and loved it. The first half was a tad bit slow, but it picks up really nicely and then I just couldn’t stop reading.

I’m currently reading Instructions for a Secondhand Heart by Tamsyn Murray. I’m only 5 chapters into the book and my heart is already breaking. I just get so emotional… But in those 5 chapters, I’ve also “awwww-ed” and smiled so I think I’m going to really love this one! I’m also going to start The Heartbreak Cure by Amanda Ashby from Entangled Teen Crush (you know how much I love these books!) so by the end of today, I’ll be reading two books. (Really trying to knock off as many books as I can on my Netgalley TBR before the year ends).

Next, I plan on reading The Sweetheart Sham (Southern Charmed #1) by Danielle Ellison and Where I Found You by Heidi R. Kling. And yes they’re both Entangled Teen Crush books… what can I say, I’m addicted!

Synopsis for The Sweetheart Sham – n a small town like Culler, South Carolina, you guard your secrets like you guard your cobbler recipe: with your life. Georgia Ann Monroe knows a thing or two about secrets: she’s been guarding the truth that her best friend Will is gay for years now. But what happens when a little white lie to protect him gets her into a fake relationship…and then the boy of her dreams shows up?

Enter Beau Montgomery: Georgie’s first love, hotter than ever, and much too much of a southern gentleman to ever pursue someone else’s girl. There’s no way to come clean to Beau while still protecting Will. But bless their hearts, they live in Culler—where secrets always have a way of revealing themselves

Synopsis for Where I Found You – After her mother’s plane went missing over the Indian Ocean, seventeen-year-old Sienna Jones gave up everything she loved about living in California. No more surfing. No more swimming. No more ocean, period. Playing it safe, hiding from the world, is the best call.

Until her dad throws down the challenge of a lifetime: spend the summer with his humanitarian team in Indonesia, working with orphans who lost everything in a massive tsunami.

The day they arrive, Sienna meets a mysterious boy named Deni, whose dark, intense eyes make her heart race. Their stolen nights force her to open up and live in a way she thought she couldn’t anymore. When she’s with Deni, she remembers the girl she used to be…and starts to feel like the woman he sees in her.

A woman he wants for his own.

Gulp.

But when Deni’s past comes looking for him, Sienna’s faced with losing another person she loves. She can’t do it. Not again.

Fortunately, this time, she has a plan.

So what are your WWW Wednesday? Have you read any of these? Leave a comment down below. And as always, thanks for reading and have a great day!!

The Rules

  • Thank the person who nominated you and add a link to their blog
  • Answer the ten questions asked on this post
  • Nominate at least five people to do it also

Top 3 Book Pet Hates – I’d have to agree with Katie @NeverNotReading. I really don’t like it when they change book covers in the middle of the series. Even if the new covers are gorgeous… it just annoys me so much because then I’d have to buy the new ones, so that all my books will match (I hate it when my books don’t!). Speaking of covers, I dislike CoverPornBooks with a passion. I do judge a book by it’s cover, but hate it when the books have such mesmerizing and creative covers, but the story is far from being beautiful or great… Just no!! It also really bothers me when a book starts out really strong and get me so excited and intrigued and then just go downhill to blahhhhhh… That’s the worst betrayal of all.

Perfect Reading Spot – I pretty much read anywhere because I like using any free time I have to catch up on my TBR. (You all know how behind I am)  At my desk if I need to take a little break from work or if it’s slow, in the car/Uber, at restaurants while waiting for food, in the train, in the bathroom, while waiting in line at theme parks… BUT my perfect reading spot will always be on my bed, with a cozy blanket, scented candles, and a hot cup of tea or coffee.

3 Book Confessions – I own more books (physical and ebooks) than books I’ve read. If I LOVE a book A LOT, then I’ll buy multiple copies/editions of that book. I still haven’t finished reading Harry Potter! (I read the first book in college, but never got to the others. I do have all the books, love the movies and buy HP merchandise so one of these days, I’ll just marathon the entire series).

Last Time You Cried Reading a Book – Last time would be when I read A Short History of the Girl Next Door by Jared Reck. I just didn’t expect the plot twist and my heart broke into pieces. I literally had to stop reading a few times cause I was crying so much.

Number of Books on Your Bedside Table– I don’t really have a bedside table. I do have a small headboard bookcase. I think there’s about 10-15 books on it.

Favorite Reading Snack – If I’m craving something sweet, then definitely Chocolate Orange Milano Cookies or soft-baked chocolate chip cookies. If I’m craving something salty, then Kettle cooked Salt and Vinegar chips or regular Lays potato Chips.

3 Books You’d Recommend to Anyone – Definitely the Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer, the Doon Series by Lorie Langdon and Carey Corp, and The Young Elites Series by Marie Lu.

A Picture of Your Favorite Bookshelf  –  Since my bookshelves look like a mess right now, here’s the last picture I took (on one side of my room) a few months ago. It hasn’t been this organized in a long time.

How Much Books Mean To You (in 3 words) – Books are MAGIC

Biggest Reading Secret – I really don’t like lending my books to ANYONE because I get so anxious and scared that my book will get dirty, damaged or worse. BUT I do let friends borrow… it just pains me a little bit… okay a lot actually. I just don’t like being separated from my loves.

Tagging these lovelies and anyone else who wants to do this!
