WWW Wednesdays

Hello lovelies!! My week has been dragging so much. Thanksgiving was such a nice break and I miss it so much already. Anyway, time for another WWW Wednesdays which is a weekly meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words.

Just answer these three questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

With hustle and bustle during my Thanksgiving break, I didn’t have time to read as much as I had planned. I thought I would get a few hours here and there, but my days were jam packed with activities. Having said that, I did manage to finish reading  Instructions for a Secondhand Heart by Tamsyn Murray and I loved it! It’s painfully real, incredibly affecting, and so beautifully written. I’ll have my review for that later on in the week.

I’m still reading The Heartbreak Cure by Amanda Ashby from Entangled Teen Crush. As I mentioned last WWW Wednesday, I started reading this before Thanksgiving Day, but I didn’t get to really read it until Sunday night. I’m almost halfway done and so far the story is dragging a bit. The plot is quite intriguing and fun, but for some reason it’s not holding my interest. Maybe I’m burned out from work or having a Holiday hangover.

I’m part of a blog tour and still trying to knock off as many books on my Netgalley TBR, so I still plan on reading the same books I had from last week –  The Sweetheart Sham (Southern Charmed #1) by Danielle Ellison and Where I Found You by Heidi R. Kling.

Hopefully next week I’ll have new books to include in my WWW Wednesday. How are you all doing with your TBR? What are on your WWW Wednesday this? Leave a comment down below. And as always, thanks for reading and have a great day!!

Expected Publication – March 6, 2018 by  Henry Holt Books for Young Readers

Genre(s): Young Adult, Fantasy

Synopsis

Zélie Adebola remembers when the soil of Orïsha hummed with magic. Burners ignited flames, Tiders beckoned waves, and Zelie’s Reaper mother summoned forth souls.
But everything changed the night magic disappeared. Under the orders of a ruthless king, maji were targeted and killed, leaving Zélie without a mother and her people without hope.
Now, Zélie has one chance to bring back magic and strike against the monarchy. With the help of a rogue princess, Zélie must outwit and outrun the crown prince, who is hell-bent on eradicating magic for good.
Danger lurks in Orïsha, where snow leoponaires prowl and vengeful spirits wait in the waters. Yet the greatest danger may be Zélie herself as she struggles to control her powers—and her growing feelings for the enemy.

This book has been receiving so many great reviews and why wouldn’t it!?!? Magic, Ruthless Kings, Rogue Princess, Struggle for Power, Vengeful Spirits and a hint of Romance — for the enemy… Doesn’t get any better than that!!!
