synopsis

Dashiell Thane wasn’t a nice guy.

He was an abrasive, demanding, conniving, intolerable brat.

Yet somehow, we’d been best friends our whole lives.

Until our senior year when I finally decided to dip my toes into the dating pool.

All it took was one kiss for jealousy, lies, and betrayal to sweep in and propel us heart first into dizzying, hostile depths.

You’re not supposed to kiss your best friend.

You’re definitely not supposed to kiss your best friend while you’re dating someone else.

And the absolute worst thing you could do is fall for your best friend.

Unless, of course, you want to ruin everything.

Wonderfully Written and Absolutely Inspirational
4halfhearts

Humanitarians, Visionaries, Heroes, and You by Mary Feliciani is a fantastic collection of short biographies of several remarkable people who have all made a difference in the world and inspired many others.

I really enjoyed reading this book and walked away feeling hopeful and motivated. It’s short, simple, and informative, but absolutely uplifting. I thought the writing style is effortless and meaningful. Feliciani has a wonderful way of evoking emotions and focusing on the positives. I liked being reminded about some of these amazing people and what they’ve done and also learning about new ones. My favorite part is reading the quotes and the author’s reflection.

I think this book is not only perfect for middle grade children, but also for adults and anyone feeling lost, confused, insecure or just need some kind of encouragement to get through a difficult day. It was an absolute joy to read and such a beautifully compelling book. I highly recommend it and think everyone will find something wonderful that can help them in one way or another.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
