Sit still. Be quiet. Obey.

Adora has lived her entire life under her mother’s strict rules, but when obedience means marrying a man twice her age, something deep within her snaps. Fleeing the night of her wedding, she boards what she assumes is a trade ship and hides among the cargo she hopes won’t be touched until she’s far away from the life she left behind.

She never anticipated being found.

Or finding Fenix.

Fenix believes in freedom, expression, and adventure. When a woman in a wedding gown is found in the belly of his ship with eyes like fire and the disposition of something almost broken, he wants nothing more than to release the flames and mend the cracks.

But with her past catching up to them, he may not have the chance.

A Short, Sweet and Delightfully Fun Pirate Romance

What a fun little gem!

The Pirate’s Stowaway Bride by Anne Stryker was a delightfully fun story. The writing was great, the characters were wonderful and amusing, and the plot was entertaining enough. There was light drama, some action, humor sprinkled here and there, a few heartwarming moments, and a swoony romance. The storyline was quite simple and a bit predictable, but I still had a fantastic time sailing away with Adora and going on a mini pirate adventure. The ending was adorable and made me wish this book was a tad bit longer.

Adora was a fantastic heroine and I admired her determination to fight for she wanted and break free from what was holding her back. Fenix stole my heart. He was charming, kind, and adventurous. I loved these two together and thought they had amazing chemistry. I thought the rest of the crew were interesting too and I loved Mama Ilya and Seagull.

This book may have been short, but it’s definitely a lovely treasure. Anne Stryker managed to create a fun and meaningful story about self-discover, courage and love. It was lighthearted, entertaining and sweet. If you’re looking for a mini getaway, then I suggest you grab a copy right now.

I received an electronic copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own. divider4

A woman is most beautiful when she’s most herself.

The past cannot walk or run, but it will catch you if you don’t.

“A glorious mess.” His grin disarms me. “You never know what’ll happen when you set something free.

Anne Stryker is a romance author who loves animals and fantasy. Somehow she finds a way to incorporate both into her stories in one way or another more often than not. Adventure, twists, and magic lie within every page of her works, and she invites you to join her on the expeditions–and exploits–of several lifetimes.
