Top Ten Tuesday – Books I Didn’t Enjoy Because of the Characters

toptentuesdays

Hello fellow bookaholics!! It’s time for another segment of Top Ten Tuesday!

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and has been moved to That Artsy Reader Girl since January 16, 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

This week’s topic is Characters I Liked That Were In Books I Didn’t Like. Okay… I SERIOUSLY HAD A REALLY DIFFICULT TIME with this one. I honestly cannot remember any characters I liked from books I didn’t like at all. I also DON’T have a long list of books I DON’T LIKE since I choose to read books I think I might enjoy. Of course there are times when I would sadly DNF or read a book that wasn’t for me. AND, if that’s the case, then I most likely had some issues with the characters… With that being said, for today’s TTT, I decided to share 5 books I Didn’t Enjoy As Much Because The Characters Bothered Me. These books weren’t horrible and there were some good parts in them, but overall, they just didn’t work for me cause I found the characters somewhat annoying, weak, and a bit disappointing.

What are some books you didn’t like because of the characters? What do you think of the books I’ve mentioned? Let me know in the comments section below and don’t forget to share your post links so I can check it out.

Thanks for stopping by and reading. Have a lovely day!

  1. Oooh. Good twist on the topic. I didn’t have any trouble naming characters I liked in books I didn’t but this is something different to think about. I remember really disliking nearly all the characters in 13 minutes. But still enjoyed the book.

  2. I remember being so excited when I found out that The Selection author was writing a book about sirens/mermaids! I remember starting it, but I was on a deadline and had to return it unfinished to the library… unfortunately I haven’t picked it up since – I just haven’t heard anything positive about it 😦
