Bookish A-Z Survey Tag #2

bookishatoz

Hello bookish friends! Ginny over at DiscerningCouchPotato tagged me for the Bookish A-Z Survey Tag. Thanks Ginny!!! I actually did this already a few months ago, but I thought it would be cool to do it again and answer some based on the books I read this year. The A to Z Bookish Survey is hosted by Jamie from The Perpetual Page Turner. Don’t forget to visit and check out Ginny and Jamie’s blogs.

HERE GOES!!!

Author you’ve read the most books from:

Still, Jennifer L. Armentrout, but as you can see Marie Lu, Kiera Cass and Kasie West are pretty close.

mostreadauthors

Best Sequel Ever in 2018:

Blood Match by K.A. Linde – The cliffhanger on this book was insane!!!

bloodtype

Currently Reading:

Echo of Glory by Martina Boone and Rumor Has It by Jessica Lemmon.

Drink of Choice While Reading:

Coffee drinks, but sometimes tea or hot chocolate.

E-reader or Physical Book?

I love physical books and being able to flip pages when I’m reading. However, I do love how convenient it is to have an e-reader so I can read while it’s slow at work or anywhere I go.

Fictional Character You Probably Would Have Actually Dated In High School:

Last time, I picked Michael Moscovitz from the Princess Diaries. Looking at some of the books I’ve read this year, I think I would have actually dated someone like Iron Phantom from The Supervillain and Me. Well, minus the hero part that is… He’s charming, funny, sweet and romantic.

Glad You Gave This Book A Chance:

Fraternize by Rachel Van Dyken  – I requested this last year when I first started getting into reviewing and was addicted to requesting anything I thought was interesting on Netgalley. I didn’t expect to get approved for so many, that I ended up overwhelmed. I kind of lost interest along the way and just put this off for a very long time. I don’t know why it took me sooo long to read this, but I’m sooo glad I did because this book was amazing!

Hidden Gem Book:

This year so far, I’d have to go with Our Dark Stars by Audrey Grey and Krystal Wade. This book was sooo good!

Important Moment in your Reading Life:

Definitely reading the Twilight Series. That’s what got me back into reading again so without Edward Cullen and Bella Swan, it would probably had taken me longer to fall in love with reading, buying books, and reviewing.

Just Finished:

As I’m doing this, Rebel Heart by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward . You can read my review HERE.

Kinds of Books You Won’t Read:

You still won’t be able to get me to read anything about celebrities, autobiographies, religious, or self-help books. I also don’t like reading Adult Romance books that have too much violence and/or abuse.

Longest Book You’ve Read:

Winter by Marissa Meyer with 827 Pages still takes the spot!

winter

Major book hangover because of:

I had picked The Shatter Me Series and the Legend Series last time, and I’m going to add The Blood Type Series by K.A. Linde from this year. I get into book hangovers every now and then, so I definitely have more than this, but mannnnn The Blood Type Series ends in wickedly heartbreaking cliffhangers that I always get into a book hangover. The last book is coming out soon and I absolutely cannot wait!!!

Number of Bookcases You Own:

So far 4… but easily 5 or six. I had to put some books in containers so that I can make room for more books. Right now, I have about 4 bins of books in the garage. I may have more soon since we are converting the garage into a little entertainment area and my boyfriend is building me a reading nook in there.

One Book You Have Read Multiple Times:

Twilight by Stephanie Meyer. I read this book probably 3-4 times during my Twilight phase.

Preferred Place To Read:

Definitely in bed with a cozy blanket, scented candles, and a hot cup of coffee or tea.

Quote that inspires you/gives you all the feels from a book you’ve read:

There are sooo many that I love about love that gives me ALL THE FEELS… Here are a few of my favorites.

kissoftheroyal

“It’s completely and utterly irrational. It can’t be understood, and it can’t be explained. It’s unreasonbable – which is probably why the Legion doesn’t to believe it exists. It’s falling for someone even when you know they can’t love you back. […] Love is sacrifice. It’s painful. It’s wishing that you could have one more day together, one more minute, one more second together, and hoping it lasts a lifetime, and then believing maybe it could.”

AND OF COURSE

“Break my heart. Break it a thousand times if you like. It was only ever yours to break anyway.

AND

America, my love, you are sunlight falling through trees. You are laughter that breaks through sadness. You are the breeze on a too-war day. You are clarity in the midst of confusion.

You are not the world, but you are everything that makes the world good. Without you, my life would still exist, but that’s all it would manage to do.

You said that to get things right one of us would have to take a leap of faith. I think I’ve discovered the canyon that must be leaped, and I hope to find you waiting for me on the other side.

I love you, America.

Yours forever,
Maxon”

unravelme

“I want so many things,” he whispers. “I want your mind. Your strength. I want to be worth your time.” His fingers graze the hem of my top and he says “I want this up.” He tugs on the waist of my pants and says “I want these down.” He touches the tips of his fingers to the sides of my body and says, “I want to feel your skin on fire. I want to feel your heart racing next to mine and I want to know it’s racing because of me, because you want me. Because you never,” he says, he breathes, “never want me to stop. I want every second. Every inch of you. I want all of it.”

Reading Regret:

Staying with my previous answer – That I didn’t start reading sooner. I had a difficult time reading before when I moved here from the Philippines when I was 9, so I never really gave it a change back then. Just avoided reading and always waited last minute to do/finish my summer reading projects. But that’s all in the past now…cause reading is one of my favorite things to do.

Series You Started And Need To Finish(all books are out in series):

I really need to get on these two. I loved the books I’ve read from each series, but I just haven’t been in the mood.

Three of your All-Time Favorite Books:

I really don’t like this question cause I have plenty of favorites for different reasons. But since I forced myself to choose three last time –   The Notebook and A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks, and Hopeless by Colleen Hoover, I’m going to choose three of my all-time favorite books in 2018… so far.  Love Scene, Take Two by Alex Evansley is charming, romantic, and adorable. Traveler by S.E. Anderson is unique, hilarious, and incredibly entertaining. Everything Under the Sun by Jessica Redmerski is haunting, heartbreaking and a fantastic post-apocalyptic thriller.

Unapologetic Fangirl For:

The Fifty Shades of Grey series. Yeah I know all the negative comments and reviews, but I still love it.

Very Excited For This Release More Than All The Others:

Blood Cure by K.A. Linde because I’M DYING to know what will happen with Reyna and Beck.

bloodcure

Worst Bookish Habit:

Yup this is still my worst bookish habit. Buying books and more books…AND requesting and joining book giveaways.  I own way more books than I’ve read. BUTTTT they’re all so pretty to look at on my shelves and yes I promise I will read them all…eventually…

X Marks The Spot: Start at the top left of your shelf and pick the 27th book:

Since I’m not home at the moment, I’m going to use the list of books on my Netgalley queue that’s older than 3 months. That book would be ASH PRINCESS by Laura Sebastian.

Ashprincess

Your latest book purchase:

According to my Amazon account history, the last book I purchased was Save the Date by Morgan Matson.

savethedate

ZZZ-snatcher book (last book that kept you up WAY late):

As soon as I finished Rebel Heir after work on Monday, I immediately picked up Rebel Heart cause I just had to know what would happen with Rush and Gia.

Cover Reveal – The Risky Hearts Duet by Candace Knoebel

bookcoverrevealnew

I’m so excited to be sharing with you not one, but two new covers for Candace Knoebel’s Risky Hearts duet. If you love contemporary romance, you’re not going to want to miss TEN REASONS TO STAY and FIVE REASONS TO GO this fall!

aboutthebook2

TEN REASONS TO STAY – August 30, 2018

One day a week—Thursdays—my husband and I could do whatever or whomever we pleased.

Protection was non-negotiable.

And no matter what, we had to be home by midnight.

Jack was the one who wanted an open marriage, but we were supposed to keep things simple. No strings. No commitments. It seemed so easy…until it wasn’t.

Devilishly handsome Cole Blackwater was only supposed to be a flight, but everything about him made me feel alive. Wanted. Seen. When I realized he was my husband’s boss, I should have broken things off right then…but I didn’t.

One day a week, I could pretend that I was his and he was mine…until Cole wanted more.

But how could I decide between the man I’d promised to love, honor, and cherish, and the man who tempted me to break every single vow I’d made?
