Fighter pilot Ben Rutledge loves his solitude. Which means spending a month of leave in overcrowded, over-glitzy Las Vegas isn’t up his alley, especially after his friend ditches him. His first inclination is to bow out, and quickly. Instead, he finds himself sharing drinks—and a whole lot more—with a sexy woman celebrating her birthday. After all, it’s just one night, and he can go back to his quiet life tomorrow.

Megan Shuttlekrump doesn’t have time for a boyfriend, much less a husband. But a night of celebratory drinks with a handsome stranger ends with a ring on her finger—and no memory of how it got there. Her new “husband” is over the top hot, but he’ll be out of her life once his leave is over. As long as they can find out which of the thousand or so chapels in Vegas married them…

Charming, Witty, and Irresistibly Entertaining!

Accidentally in Love with the Pilot by Teri Anne Stanley was a delightfully addictive read. It’s charming, witty, and irresistibly entertaining.

I’m so incredibly smitten with this book! Within the first few pages, I knew I would enjoy this and I really did. It’s not emotionally intense or moving, but the storyline was so absurdly fun and humorous. And even if it wasn’t an emotional or heart-rending story, there were some good moments that had me tearing up. Sometimes, an easy and fast paced fluffy read is just what I need when life gets too hectic and stressful. Accidentally in Love with the Pilot was adorable, funny, and a very refreshing and relaxing book and I had such a wonderful time reading Ben and Megan’s story.

With drunken shenanigans, accidental marriage, loud and rambunctious family members, steamy scenes, and all the hilarious and heartwarming moments, this book was an exciting read until the end. The writing was engaging, lighthearted and captivatingly fun. The plot was quite predictable, but was well-paced and perfectly balanced with humor, charm and swoons that I didn’t really mind if there weren’t any crazy twists. I smiled, laughed, and got a healthy dose of swoons and warm fuzzies, and honestly, that’s a big win for me. I do have to say that the author gave the readers a lovely little surprise in the end… oh wait.. I mean surprises…

Megan and Ben’s chemistry was seriously off the charts and I rooted so hard for them. Yeah, these type of stories has been done before, but there was just something so adorable between these two that it was so fun watching them deal with their wonderfully awesome mishap. They were also incredibly likable that it was so easy to care about what would happen to them. And that ending… that was really an amazing way to wrap up their story.

I was also very fond of Megan’s crazy family. They were needy, loud, rambunctious, and overly dramatic sometimes, but they all had Megan’s best interests at heart. You could just feel the love and admiration they had for each other and that was so endearing. Ben’s mother and grandmother were amazing too and I enjoyed the scenes with them. I actually wished that they had been more present in the story cause they seemed like interesting and wonderful characters.

This book swept me off my feet and had me soaring through plenty of heartwarming, sexy and swoontabulous feels. Accidentally in Love with the Pilot was a lot of fun to read and Ben and Megan were just so adorably cute together. If you love easy to read romantic comedies with a lot of sweetness and little spice, humor, charm, and the crazy butterflies, then this might just be the perfect read for you.

I received an advance reader copy of this book from the publisher via Netgalley. All thoughts, opinions, and swoons are my own.

  1. This isn’t my usual genre, but it sounds great! I have read a couple of “fluffy” romances and I can see how they would be great reads for “hectic” times during life.

    • I don’t really remember much of the story since I read too many romance novels, but I just remember this one being funny and just a fast fun read. Nothing too special, but a good entertaining book.
