WWW Wednesdays

wwwwednesday

Hello lovelies! Time for another reading update.

WWW Wednesday which is a weekly segment hosted by Taking on a World of Words.

Just answer these three questions:

  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What are you currently reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

I recently finished reading Mercury Rises by Scarlet Kol which I loved! The world building was intriguing, the plot was action-packed, and the characters were beautifully flawed. It was definitely thrilling and so much fun to read. You can check out my review HERE. I also finished reading Sweet Dreams by Marika Ray which was deliciously fun and swoony.  I was completely hooked and could not stop smiling throughout the entire time I was reading. Check out my blog tour stop and review HERE. And lastly, I finished reading Curses and Ash by Tiffany Duane. I really enjoyed this sequel and cannot wait to see what happens next. I’ll have my review and blog tour stop on Friday, March 2 so don’t forget to stop by and check it out.

I’m still currently reading Bad Business by Nicole Edwards. I read maybe 2-3 chapters then moved on to my other books since I needed to finish them for reviews. Hopefully I’ll finish this over the weekend. I also just started reading A Kiss in the Dark by Gina Ciocca.

Next, I plan on reading This Heart of Mine by C.C. Hunter and Phoenix Fire by S.D. Grimm.

What’s your WWW Wednesday? Have you read any of these books? Leave your comments and links to your post so I can check it out.

Reflection “When will my reflection show who I am inside” – An Inaccurate Book Cover that Doesn’t Really Reflect What the Book Is About.

I think a lot of NA and romance books have covers that doesn’t really make sense other than the models looking incredibly delicious.

Total Eye Candy for sure, but just doesn’t really reflect what the book is about — except that the male lead is SUPER HOT!

Mushu – A Character With A Lot To Prove

I think this about a lot of the characters I read about. But, I’ll go with Eadlyn from the Selection Series. She had a lot of responsibilities and pressure on her to be the a great leader. She needs to show everyone that she can handle ruling a kingdom and standing on her own.

“I’ll Make a Man Outta You!” – A Character Who Develops the Most OR A Book With Some Kick-A** Training Scenes

I’ve been reading a lot of romance and YA contemporary books lately so Kick-A** Training Scenes are totally out of the picture. The last book I read that have really pretty intense training was Above the Sky by Jenny Lynne.

Above the Sky cover 1600

“A Girl Worth Fighting For” – A Ship You Will Defend Till Your Last Breath

The first ship that comes to mind is Juliette and Warner from the Shatter Me Series by Tahereh Mafi. I absolutely love them together and will ship them until my very last breath.

Huns – A Book/Character That Gives You the Creeps

Queen Levana from the Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer. Not only is she evil and the worst, but everything about her creeps me out in the most horrifying way. I mean just look at that book cover… totally creepy right?

Mulan – Your Favourite Bada** Female Protagonist

My goodness… I can’t just mention one. I mean there are plenty of strong bad a** female protagonist and yeah… just no. I can’t pick just one… but I will say that Cinder, Hermione, Katniss, Juliette Ferrars, Adelina Amouteru, and Kestrel are just some of my faves heroines.

TAGGING EVERYONE ELSE WHO WANTS TO DO THIS.

Randomly picking whoever on my most recent WordPress Notifications. So, if you feel like doing this tag, go for it! Don’t forget to leave the links to your posts!
