First Lines Fridays

firstlinesfridays

Hello again fellow book lovers! Time for another First Lines Fridays so let’s get to it.

FIRST LINES FRIDAYS IS A WEEKLY FEATURE FOR BOOK LOVERS HOSTED BY WANDERING WORDS. WHAT IF INSTEAD OF JUDGING A BOOK BY ITS COVER, ITS AUTHOR OR ITS PRESTIGE, WE JUDGED IT BY ITS OPENING LINES?
  • PICK A BOOK OFF YOUR SHELF (IT COULD BE YOUR CURRENT READ OR ON YOUR TBR) AND OPEN TO THE FIRST PAGE
  • COPY THE FIRST FEW LINES, BUT DON’T GIVE ANYTHING ELSE ABOUT THE BOOK AWAY JUST YET – YOU NEED TO HOOK THE READER FIRST
  • FINALLY… REVEAL THE BOOK!
COPY AND PASTE THE TEXT AND BANNER (OR MAKE YOUR OWN!) ABOVE FOR YOUR OWN FIRST LINES FRIDAYS POSTS. MAKE SURE TO COMMENT YOUR FIRST LINES BELOW SO THAT OTHER PEOPLE CAN CHECK THEM OUT!

I desperately wanted a broken heart. I wanted to experience that infamous intensity of emotion that had inspired beautiful prose since the beginning of time. I wanted a beauty and the tragedy of it all. I wanted to feel it because I loved every single part of being alive. I wanted the absolute confirmation of humanity and life in which only an emotion as powerful as heartbreak could validate.

In order for a heart to break, of course, there first must be love. And ultimately, that’s what I wanted.

I didn’t just want a love with the capability to rip me apart. I wanted that love to prove it.

“I’m the sweat pooling between your shoulder blades, the sheets tangled among your calves, the tongue at your collarbone, and the sigh caught between your lips. I am everything you dream about when waking, aching.”

I sent that poetic sext to a complete stranger.
And you know what the best part is?
He sent one back.

This is the story of what happens when a spark ignites and stars collapse. When words are heartbeats and poetry is a promise.

This is Sonnet Cole’s story, and it’s just the beginning.

This book sounds so incredibly swoony and super cute. Those few lines already has me completely intrigued about what the story is going to be. I absolutely cannot wait when I finally get to this. A Soul Full of Stars is written by one of my dear blogger friends, Bree Lauren,  over at In Love & Words. When I found out she wrote a book and I read the little blurb, I knew it would be something I’d LOVE so I immediately went to Amazon to buy my copy. Hopefully, I can cuddle with this pretty next month. I have quite a few more books I need to read for blog tours and reviews.

If you’re not following BREE just yet, then go right now and check out her gorgeous blog. She writes amazing reviews and I always end up adding plenty books on my never-ending TBR because of her. LOL

Will you be adding this book on your TBR? Let me know in the comments below. I’d love to hear from you!!!

  1. OMG! I legit just squealed in excitement and shock when I saw this!

THANK YOU so, so much. I’ve had such a wretched week (which is why I’m only just seeing this now) and this made all of that disappear. ❤ ❤
