Hello lovelies! This week’s topic for Top Ten Tuesday is – Books I Really Liked but Can’t Remember Anything/Much About. I know I’m not the only person who reads a lot and somehow forgets what the books were about. It doesn’t happen all the time, but there are definitely some books I really loved, but I don’t really know much about them now. I do know if I laughed or cried while reading, but I hardly remember specific details, the plot and sometimes even the characters’ names… It’s pretty bad I know… Guess I should start a reread TBR so I can remember why I loved these books.
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and has been moved to That Artsy Reader Girl since January 16, 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
Here are the Top Ten Books I know I Loved/Liked, but Can’t Remember Much About
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants by Ann Brashares – My close high school friends and I watched the movie adaptation of this book together the summer before we went to college. We loved the movie so much we decided to read the book and pass it around. Well, that was more than 10 years ago and the only thing I remember about this book is how the pants magically fit all of the girls who are best friends. Other than that, I don’t really know all that much. I don’t even know their names.
Sloppy Firsts by Megan McCafferty – During highschool, my best friend introduced this series to me and I remember really enjoying and loving the story and romance Now I don’t remember anything at all other than my best friend and I used to gush about the guy in the book.
Never Stop Falling by Ashley Drew – I remember reading this book in one day and really loving it. The romance was swoony, it was a fast read, and the ending was very emotional and made me cry. Other than that, I don’t remember specific details and the characters.
Tangled by Emma Chase – I really enjoyed the Royally Series by Emma Chase, so I decided to read some of her other books. Well, this one was really fun and swoony, but all I can remember is there were plenty of steamy scenes in the office. The main character is a secretary and falls in love with her boss or something like that.
This Body Won’t Break by Lea Mckee– I read this just last year (like a few months ago) and OMG I loved it. I even reviewed it here and gushed about how amazing it was. I remember the storyline was really fascinating — dystopia with mystery and a hint of romance. It was a short fast paced book that was easy to read…but that’s all. I don’t remember names, the setting, and details. I do remember the feeling that it was really a funtastic book.
A Streetcar Named Desire by Tennessee Williams – So this one is more of a play not really a book. I remember really liking this even though it was required reading for my AP English class. We had to really analyze everything and the nerd in me really loved that part. BUT I don’t remember much other than there was some abuse in the plot line.
Bared to You (Crossfire #1) by Sylvia Day – After reading the Fifty Shades of Grey Series, which I really enjoyed — it’s a guilty pleasure book for me and read for entertainment purposes…. I know it’s not written well and offends plenty of people, I looked for a similar series/book and discovered the Crossfire Series by Sylvia Day. I believe I read up to the second book, but other than remembering that the main male lead is named Gideon and that it’s very similar to FOG, I don’t remember all that much.
Dear John by Nicholas Sparks – From the books I’ve read by Nicholas Sparks, this is the only book I can’t remember much about. I do remember that I cried a lot and there were love letters written in the story since John went off to the army.
Losing It by Cora Cormack – So when I started getting into NA books, I kind of binged a lot. I heard great things about Cora Cormack, so I picked up Losing It. If I remember correctly, I finished this book in less than 24 hours and really enjoyed it so much that I read the second book ASAP…BUT I don’t remember the characters or anything at all that happened… well other than the obvious that female lead lost it somehow in the story.
Children of Eden by Joey Graceffa – I remember that I loved this one too, but nada…. Do Not Remember what the book was even about. I did buy the sequel last year and plan on rereading. Maybe the second time I’ll remember….
So those are the books I loved/liked, but can’t remember much about. What are some of yours? I would love to know so comment down below!

It was a long time ago! I just remember there was some physical abuse of some sort cause we spend so much time in class talking about it.

I honestly can’t remember anything. It’s been so long but usually I can remember something, not for this one though. 😞

Yeah, I’m pretty sure there’s plenty of books I can’t remember anything about. Sometimes I read too many similar stories that I forget or get them mixed up. I still enjoy reading them, but yeah, I probably don’t know anything anymore haha.

They were all amazing reads for me… just can’t remember why haha. That’s the problem with reading too many books.

It’s really a struggle haha! The worst is when I pick up a book from the library and start reading it only to realize that I’ve read it before and completely forgot about it!
