Hello lovelies! Hope you wonderful readers/followers are doing great! It’s been a while since I’ve done a Tag Post, so when I stumbled and saw this one on The Hufflepuff Nerdette’s Blog I knew I just had to do it. I actually have so many tags on my to do list, but this one seemed really awesome and fun to do so here I am. The A to Z Bookish Survey is hosted by Jamie from The Perpetual Page Turner. Be sure to check out both their amazing blogs.
Author you’ve read the most books from:
Jennifer L. Armentrout – only because I binged the Wait for You series which has like 6 books and a few novellas.
Best Sequel Ever:
Shades of Doon by Lorie Langdon and Carey Corp – I love this series, but this is my absolute favorite book from it.
Currently Reading:
Pen and Xander by Laekan Zea Kem, The Key to Everything by Paula Stokes, and Right Kiss Wrong Guy by Natalie Decker.
Drink of Choice While Reading:
Coffee drinks, but sometimes tea or hot chocolate.
E-reader or Physical Book?
I love physical books and being able to flip pages when I’m reading. However, I do love how convenient it is to have an e-reader so I can read while it’s slow at work or anywhere I go.
Fictional Character You Probably Would Have Actually Dated In High School:
Michael Moscovitz from the Princess Diaries. I would have noticed him, crushed on him, and if he asked me out, I would 100% say YES!
Glad You Gave This Book A Chance:
A Short History of the Girl Next Door by Jared Reck – I had this on my Netgalley for a while before I actually read it. The first few chapters were a tad bit slow, but OMG….this book is absolutely AMAZING!!! You can read my review here, and if you’re looking for some epic FEELS…then this needs to be on your TBR!
Hidden Gem Book:
The Cage by Megan Shepherd – I don’t know why not too many people know about this book, but it’s one of my favorites.
Important Moment in your Reading Life:
Definitely reading the Twilight Series. That’s what got me back into reading again so without Edward Cullen and Bella Swan, it would probably had taken me longer to fall in love with reading, buying books, and reviewing.
Just Finished:
The last book I finished reading was Deadly Sweet by Lola Dodge. You can read my review here.
Kinds of Books You Won’t Read:
I don’t really like autobiographies, religious, or self-help books. I also don’t like reading Adult Romance books that have too much violence and/or abuse.
Longest Book You’ve Read:
Winter by Marissa Meyer – 827 Pages – Although it didn’t feel that long because it was such a fantastic book and I love that series so much.
Major book hangover because of:
The Shatter Me Series. After I binged them, I slept a lot because I stayed up so late during the week. Then the following days after I just could not move on… I missed everyone in the book and Warner… I missed him so damn much. I felt the same way when I finished reading the Legend Series by Marie Lu. Just wanted those series to not be over… so I’m super excited that Shatter Me is actually getting 3 more books.
Number of Bookcases You Own:
So far 4… but easily 5 or six. I had to put some books in containers so that I can make room for more books. Right now, I have about 4 bins of books in the garage.
One Book You Have Read Multiple Times:
Twilight by Stephanie Meyer. I read this book probably 3-4 times during my Twilight phase.
Preferred Place To Read:
Definitely in bed with a cozy blanket, scented candles, and a hot cup of coffee or tea.
Quote that inspires you/gives you all the feels from a book you’ve read:
These two from the Selection Series by Kiera Cass. I have a love/hate relationship with this series, but I definitely LOVE it more. America was just so frustrating…
“Break my heart. Break it a thousand times if you like. It was only ever yours to break anyway.”
AND
“America, my love, you are sunlight falling through trees. You are laughter that breaks through sadness. You are the breeze on a too-war day. You are clarity in the midst of confusion.
You are not the world, but you are everything that makes the world good. Without you, my life would still exist, but that’s all it would manage to do.
You said that to get things right one of us would have to take a leap of faith. I think I’ve discovered the canyon that must be leaped, and I hope to find you waiting for me on the other side.
I love you, America.
Yours forever,
Maxon”
Doesn’t that just give you ALL THE FEELS? I mean even if I didn’t know what the series was about and just read those, my heart would still be melting over and over.
Reading Regret:
That I didn’t start reading sooner. I had a difficult time reading before when I moved here from the Philippines when I was 9, so I never really gave it a change back then. Just avoided reading and always waited last minute to do/finish my summer reading projects. But that’s all in the past now…cause reading is one of my favorite things to do.
Series You Started And Need To Finish(all books are out in series):
The Mortal Instruments. I can never finish this. I enjoy the series a lot and have read The City of Bones twice already, but yeah it’s still waiting to be finished. Also, Harry Potter. I read the first book a few years ago and really wanted to finish the series, but just never got to it. And right now, I’m more interested in reading so many others books that I can’t seem to pick up books from these two series.
Three of your All-Time Favorite Books:
Just three?!?! I can go on and on and I have plenty of favorite book series, but if I have to pick, it would probably be these three books — The Notebook and A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks, and Hopeless by Colleen Hoover. I love so many books — some are cute and light, swoony and sweet, others are thrilling, and plenty are fun and entertaining. But these three books because 1) Romance 2) The FEELS 3) Made me CRY A LOT 4) Fantastic Characters I can relate to 5) They made me think A LOT. (If I can pick series, it would be the Lunar Chronicles, Shatter Me, and Doon Series).
Unapologetic Fangirl For:
Twilight Series because it made me fall in love with reading.
Very Excited For This Release More Than All The Others:
Restore Me by Tahereh Mafi. I need more Juliette and Warner… but really just MORE OF WARNER!!
Worst Bookish Habit:
Buying books and more books… I own way more books than I’ve read. BUTTTT they’re all so pretty to look at on my shelves and yes I promise I will read them all…eventually…
X Marks The Spot: Start at the top left of your shelf and pick the 27th book:
Since I’m not home at the moment (slow at work right now), I guess I’ll use my Goodreads TBR shelf. And that book would be Linger by Maggie Stiefvater.
Your latest book purchase:
Bell of Eternity by Martina Boone and The Key to Everything by Paula Stokes. Both authors are my favorites and I love their writing so much.
ZZZ-snatcher book (last book that kept you up WAY late):
I think there’s probably a few that should go in here, but since my last promotion at work, I actually try to sleep by midnight or 1am at the latest (I wake up at 6am to get ready for work) if I’m reading a book that’s really amazing! Otherwise, I would totally crash and burn at work, feel like crap the whole day and snap at everyone which is not pleasant at all. Sooo the last book I read that kept me up WAY late was the Shatter Me Series by Tahereh Mafi. I stayed up until almost 4am reading them. BUT I ABSOLUTELY LOVE that series so I didn’t mind being all blah the next few days. Plus, work wasn’t as busy for me back then compared to now, so I actually just pushed through the day and drank coffee to keep me going. I did sleep forever during the weekend though.
Hope you enjoyed reading this post. AND I tag you and you and you!!! Everyone who wants to do this, leave your blog links in the comments so I can check it out. Can’t wait to see some of your answers! Have a lovely rest of the day.
