Swoony Saturdates

Good Evening Loves! Hope you’re all having a wonderful weekend. As for me, I had quite a busy day. I went dress shopping with my mom for her 60th Masquerade Birthday Party on April 15. It was very fun, but trying on gowns is very tiring. My mom did find 2 gowns she really likes so hopefully one of them will be the winner. She still wants to check out other places before she makes her final decision, but I really hope she picks this deep navy blue gown with a sweetheart neck line and gold accents. Anyway, after dress shopping, my boyfriend and I went to KBBQ dinner with our friends. Sooo good, but  ate too much and now I have this terrible food coma that’s making me really sleepy…BUT… I wanted to post my Swoony Saturdate before going to bed. I had most of it drafted yesterday, but just wanted to add a few more things.

Swoony Saturdates is a weekly segment where I’ll feature one of my favorite book boyfriends and explain some reasons why I think he’s utterly and undeniably swoon-worthy. And just for fun, I’ll occasionally describe an ideal date with the book boyfriend I choose. If you’d like to join me, feel free to do so and leave your links in the comments so everyone can check out your picks. Oh and it’s definitely not limited to just book boyfriends…you can totally pick book girlfriends too! Don’t forget to link back to me so I can see your posts!

Soooo without further ado….Let’s go on a Swoony Saturdate with

Yesterday, I shared some of my favorite quotes from Wait for You by Jennifer L. Armentrout (J.Lynn). It’s only fitting that I feature the handsome, sweet, and super adorable Cameron Hamilton as today’s Swoony Saturdate. I remember reading this book and crushing so hard on Cam. He made me smile, laugh, cry, and swoon like crazy. He’s definitely one of my top Book Boyfriends.

Reasons Why Cam Hamilton is Undeniably and Ridiculously Swoon-Worthy

I’m going to include some quotes that go with my reasons…that way you can get a better picture of why Cam is a total hottie in every swoony way.

He can bake – I mean seriously ladies, wouldn’t you want your man to bake for you?

“I have cookies.”
“Cookies?” My brows rose.
“Yeah, and I made them. I’m quite the baker.”
For some reason, I couldn’t picture that. “You baked cookies?”
“I bake a lot of things, and I’m sure you’re dying to know all about those things. But tonight, it was chocolate and walnut cookies. They are the shit if I do say so myself.”

“I’m beginning to think cookies is a code word for something else.”
“Maybe it is.” He tugged on my bag again as he took a confident step back, forcing me down another step. “And just think about it. If cookie was a code word, whatever it symbolizes, it’s been in your mouth, sweetheart.”

AND He can cook too!

“W-w-what?” I stepped aside or was forced aside as he entered my apartment, carrying something wrapped in tinfoil, a carton of eggs – huh? – and a tiny frying pan. “Cam what are you doing? It’s eight in the morning.”

“Thanks for the update on the time.” he headed straight for my kitchen. “It’s one thing I’ve never been able to master: the telling of time.”

He’s sweet, romantic, and adorable

“I didn’t know what to say, but my heart was racing as he slid his hands down to mine. He placed them on his chest, right above his heart. “I have hope,” he said, his gaze never leaving mine. “I have hope because I love you-I’ve been in love with you, Avery. Probably before I even realized that I was.”

He’s determined and passionate

“There’s always tomorrow.”
I followed him. “Tomorrow’s not going to change anything.”
“We’ll see.”
“There’s nothing to see. You’re wasting your time.”
“When it concerns you, it’s never a waste of my time,” he replied.”

He’s devastatingly handsome and incredibly sexy

“He was gorgeous in all the ways that made girls do stupid things. He was tall, a good head or two taller than me and broad at the shoulders, but tapered at the waist. An athlete’s body—like a swimmer’s. Wavy black hair toppled over his forehead, brushing matching eyebrows. Broad cheekbones and wide, expressive lips completed the package created for girls to drool over. And with those sapphire-colored eyes, holy moley…”

He’s funny and doesn’t shy away from acting silly or dorky – I absolutely love a man who has a good sense of humor!

“And this must be Avery?”
“Oh, God, no,” Cam said. “This is Candy, Mom.”
His mother’s eyes widened and a bit of color infused her cheeks. “Uh, I’m…”
“I’m Avery,” I said, shooting Cam a look. “You had it right.”
She spun around, smacking Cam across the arm. Hard, too. “Cameron! Oh my God. I thought…” She smacked him again and he laughed. “You’re terrible.”

He also has a pet turtle named  Raphael… yup named after the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I mean isn’t that just the cutest thing ever!?

But most of all, Cam is loving, kind, protective and just an amazing guy who will do everything he can for the people he loves. Not to mention, he’s also a great big brother.

If you’re into NA romances with a little steam, I definitely think you should check out this book and series. Cam is my favorite for sure, but the other male leads in the series are totally swoony too!

Have you read Wait for You? What did you think? Who are some of your favorite book boyfriends? Don’t forget to leave your comments down below. I’d love to hear from you!

I hope you enjoyed this Swoony Saturdate post. Have a fantastic night loves!

    • I’m the reverse. I’ve read only her NA Wait for You series and have her other YA books on my TBR LOL. This series was really fun for me, so I’m hoping I’ll enjoy her YA books too. She has so many books though… I don’t know when I’ll get to them all haha.

      • If you like twilight in a “wow this is trash but entertaining trash” you’ll like her Lux series. My favorite series of hers is The Dark Elements, which starts with White Hot Kiss. Horrible covers, but they’re addicting.

      • Thanks! I love Twilight, so if I’m ever in the mood for that type of books, I’ll definitely check out the Lux series. I actually have some of the books. I bought them from Bookoutlet 2 or 3 years ago, but they’re just sitting on my shelves haha.

I totally agree with you on the covers for The Dark Elements series. I heard good things about that, but the covers are definitely not appealing, so I haven’t even bothered with the series. I think I’ll be adding them on my TBR. If they’re addicting, then that’s always a plus for me. Maybe I’ll do a JLA marathon sometime this year =)
