  39. Pretty Dead Girls by Monica Murphy (blog tour)
  40. The Dating Debate by Chris Cannon (blog tour)
  41. A Kiss in the Dark by Gina Ciocca (approved Jan 30)

I participated in a few blog tours with ARCs provided through Netgalley, so I added those to the list. I tried not to add any more, but I kind of failed. In my defense, I actually requested them before 2018 and it just so happens that they got approved the same day I did the Tackling My Netgalley TBR post. I wasn’t aware until I signed on later that week that I actually had more books to add… Was I thrilled? Absolutely! Did I mentally kick myself? Definitely — Over and over again.

I started with 32 books, read 4, and added 9 books total. Definitely did not go very well this month since I now have 37 books to read… Yup I have a problem and I need some bookish guidance to help stop me from requesting anymore books…

At least my feedback ratio stayed the same at 49%. I’ll just have to do better next month!!

  1. Oooh, Nyxia was really good and fast-paced! And Wild Beauty has beautiful prose, like the cover. I have so many ARCs too but I try to set a limit of books I request that will be released at the same month, just so I can post a review before the release dates.

    • I try to do the same… but sometimes when I don’t get approved after a month or so, I request a few more. Then surprise! I have like 5 approved ARCs in one day. Not that I’m not thankful, but it gets a bit overwhelming. I have requests that haven’t even been denied for months… It’s just sitting there as pending so when it’s been more than a month I figured it won’t get approved.

    • Thanks hun!!! I seriously need it. I mean it’s not a bad thing because I only request books that I think I’ll enjoy,. But it gets a bit overwhelming when they do get approved all at the same time. When I don’t get approved for ARCs after a month or so, I request more. Then surprise… I get like 5 in one day haha. It’s like the publishers check and approve at the same time or something.
